Job description

Under the general direction of the Regional Operations Manager with the clinical supervision of the reading physician, performs examinations of patients and transports mobile medical imaging equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs ordered examinations in accordance with accepted standards of practice and protocols of the individual site reading physician.
  • Maintains patient care, comfort and safety during transport to and from the mobile coach/facility and during the exam.
  • Maintains technical competency through continued education and participation in company sponsored training programs.
  • Completes and signs the Patient Screening form and reviews/explains the procedure to the patient.
  • Transports patients to and from the mobile coach/facility. Maintains patient care, comfort and safety during transport to and from the mobile coach and during the exam.
  • Provides images to the facility in the desired site format.
  • Performs equipment quality checks and troubleshoots problems. Calls for service and notifies all pertinent Team Members.
  • Transports mobile medical imaging equipment to various sites along the mobile route in accordance with applicable DOT rules and regulations and SMS standard operating procedures.
  • If applicable, assists with the set up and tear down of equipment in accordance with SMS and/or manufacturers' guidelines.
  • Maintains a clean environment inside and outside of the mobile coach/facility.
  • Completes necessary administrative tasks. i.e.: time reports, billing, QA, etc.
  • Follows quality assurance guidelines and maintains patient confidentiality.
  • Follows preventative maintenance guidelines and ensures proper maintenance of all equipment.
  • Works with vendors and Transportation Team to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical failures.
  • Cooperates with facility health care professionals and complies with facility policies/procedures.
  • Complies with all safety policies and regulations.
  • Maintains current Licenses in all states in which services are performed.
  • May assist with set up of mobile coach upon arrival and pack up prior to departure.
  • Trains new Team Members as required and/or as assigned by the supervisor and/or SMS management.
  • Performs additional duties as required.
Requirement description :
1 opening is for 4 10 hour shifts
Fairview: 4 days/week. 7-5:00
1 opening is for 5 - 8 hour shifts
Park Nicollet: 5 days/week = 40 hours.
Times and locations are subject to change I.e. some shifts are 8-3:30, others 10-5
  • Graduate of an approved 2-year Radiologic Technology program - REQUIRED
  • Must be registered with ARRT or licensed to perform general radiographic procedures - REQUIRED
  • Ability to produce quality imaging with limited supervision - REQUIRED
  • Must possess valid driver's license with good driving record - REQUIRED
  • Ability to drive or experience driving equivalent to 26' straight truck - preferred
PROFILE REQUIREMENTS
  • Resume with all facilities, facility size, beds, trauma level, and units listed
  • Skills Checklist specific to the discipline (must be less than a year old)
  • Two supervisory references (less than two years old)
  • Active License (verification must be less than 30 days old)
  • Certifications (must be active at time of submission)
