Overview
Join Lutron Electronics as a strategic, hands-on Senior Human Resources Manager based in Austin, Texas, supporting our Engineering, Manufacturing, and Distribution organizations across multiple Austin sites.
In this role, you will partner closely with business and HR leaders in a highly matrixed environment to drive workforce planning, talent development, employee engagement, and organizational effectiveness. You will shape and execute scalable HR strategies and forward-looking initiatives that strengthen organizational capability and support long-term business growth. The ideal candidate brings a proactive, detail-oriented leadership style and thrive balancing strategic priorities with day-to-day HR operations in a dynamic, high-performance manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as a strategic partner to the local and corporate leadership team, proactively assessing organizational needs and leading the design and execution of HR strategies and programs that support business objectives and long-term growth.
  • Act as a trusted HR advisor to senior leaders, providing expert counsel, organizational effectiveness guidance, and data-driven insights to enable high performance, scalability, and leadership effectiveness.
  • Apply sound judgment and deep HR expertise to navigate and resolve complex employee relations and organizational issues involving multiple stakeholders while ensuring compliance with employment laws, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Drive a culture of safety, accountability, continuous improvement, employee development, and engagement while championing Lutron Electronics core principles, values, and culture across the organization.
  • Lead and influence organizational design discussions in partnership with leadership to ensure structures, roles, and capabilities align with current and future business needs.
  • Oversee and provide strategic guidance on performance management, compensation reviews, promotions, year-end evaluations, employee relations matters, and accommodation requests, ensuring consistency, equity, and compliance.
  • Provide senior-level coaching and guidance to leaders on performance management, employee development, career progression, corrective actions, and talent planning.
  • Design, implement, and continuously improve HR solutions, programs, and policies in partnership with Human Resources Centers of Excellence (COEs) to meet evolving organizational and workforce needs.
  • Partner with HR COEs including Compensation & Benefits, Talent Acquisition, Learning, and Talent Development to deliver integrated, high-impact HR and talent solutions.
  • Assess organizational and leadership capability gaps and partner with Learning and Talent Development teams to develop and deploy targeted development solutions, leveraging prior Talent Development leadership experience where applicable.
  • Promote positive employee relations through proactive, high-touch communication and stakeholder engagement across all levels of the organization.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree is required; an MBA is a plus.
  • 20+ years of progressive Human Resources leadership experience required.
  • Proven experience supporting and engaging hourly employee populations in operational environments.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Employee Relations and People Development required.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 20%, primarily to Lutron Electronics facilities in Pennsylvania.
  • You are authorized to work in the U.S. and will not require Lutron to sponsor you for any work visa, such as an H-1B, either immediately or at any time in the future. Lutron does not offer work visa sponsorship for this position.
