What You'll Do

This role will join our Southeast Staffing team, which drives the team development of BCG's most important asset - its people. Our team is seeking a Talent Assistant - Staffing Operations to provide critical logistical, relational, and administrative support. This role is ideal for someone passionate about a career in the HR/People space, and who thrives in fast-paced environments while maintaining a keen attention to detail.

Our consultants work across the private, public, and social sectors to drive impact that transforms organizations-and often themselves in the process. Consulting teams are thoughtfully staffed to balance the needs of the individual, the firm, and our clients. The Talent Assistant - Staffing Operations will support the Talent Management team end-to-end across the staffing process, will ensure accurate data management and reporting, and will liaise with other key Business Services teams. This role will also develop meaningful connections with our consulting staff to facilitate a transparent and rapid flow of information.

System data management

  • Maintain timely and accurate view of all individual availability data in the Staffing database including staffing assignments, vacations/time off, scheduled trainings, Leaves of Absence (in partnership with HR), etc.
    • Assist with outreach to current case teams to confirm staffing assignments and upcoming end dates
    • Track down appropriate case codes, follow up on timesheet submissions, and update consultant information as necessary (e.g., profiles, availability)
  • Develop working relationships with all members of the local office to facilitate the timely flow of transparent information
  • Partner with Managing Directors and Partners, Finance, and HR to support accurate case setup and billing processes:
    • Create and manage internal case codes for staffing assignments and billing
    • Support approval and tracking of funding requests for non-billable work (e.g., business development, strategic internal projects
    • Create and maintain project teamsites, ensuring timely setup and closure with the Information Management (IM) team
    • Provide billing instructions and information to consulting staff and North America staffers as needed

Leakage

  • Review weekly consultant billing reports to identify billing discrepancies
  • Partner with Talent Management and Finance teams to request corrections as necessary

Reporting

  • Maintain staffing data dashboards and prepare office-wide and North America Regional staffing reports
  • Organize and manage staffing data to support staffing assignments and tracking of non-billable work decisions

Short-term staffing support

  • Manage short-term staffing case intake process across clients within system
  • In partnership with Pipeline Staffers, coordinate short-term staffing assignments by connecting consultants with case teams and sharing project details

Regional Coordination

  • Represent Southeast System on bi-monthly North America Regional Staffing call
  • Manage flow of communication to ensure all relevant stakeholders are informed and/or consulted on relevant situations

  • 1-3 years of administrative support or human resources experience, preferably at a professional services firm

In this role, you will report to the Southeast Talent Management Director and partner with the Southeath Staffing team to support the consulting cohorts, focusing on the needs of the firm, cohort and individuals.

Compensation Information:

Total compensation for this role includes base salary, annual discretionary performance bonus, retirement contribution, and a market leading benefits package described below.

The base salary range for this role is $58,000-$71,000 (USD).

This is an estimated range and specific base salaries within the range depend on factors such as office location, experience, and skill set. It is not common for new BCG employees to be hired at the high-end of the salary range. BCG regularly reviews its ranges to ensure market competitiveness.

In addition to your base salary, your total compensation will include a discretionary bonus of up to 12% and a generous retirement contribution that starts at 5% and moves to 10% after 2 years.
