Position Summary

Are you a hands-on leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys developing people while driving results? As aย Transportation Supervisor, you'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth, safe, and efficient flow of product through our distribution center. You'll lead a team of associates, uphold performance standards, and collaborate across departments to deliver exceptional service to our retail partners and customers.

In this role, you'll partner closely with the Operations Manager and cross-functional teams-including Transportation and Inventory Management-to meet production goals, improve processes, and create a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement. What You'll Do

  • Lead & Inspire Your Team
    Supervise day-to-day activities for the assigned department and staff. Coach, develop, and hold associates accountable through performance planning, feedback, and recognition.
  • Develop Talent
    Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, and developing new and existing associates to build a high-performing team.
  • Drive Operational Excellence
    Partner with Receiving, Shipping, Transportation, and Inventory Management to ensure accurate, efficient, and timely product flow in and out of the distribution center.
  • Optimize Staffing & Productivity
    Monitor daily staffing levels, assign labor management tasks, and adjust resources to meet production demands.
  • Ensure Safety, Accuracy & Compliance
    Enforce company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures. Communicate and administer corrective action when necessary.
  • Lead Communication & Collaboration
    Hold departmental meetings, communicate shift updates, and coordinate with other departments to minimize operational disruptions.
  • Champion Continuous Improvement
    Identify waste and inefficiencies, recommend process improvements, and act as a "change agent" for lean practices. Help foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Support Business Goals
    Help achieve departmental operational and budget goals. Provide accurate reports and insights to the Distribution Center Leadership Team.
  • Project & Process Leadership
    Lead assigned projects and tasks,and recommend modifications to procedures or workflows that increase efficiency, productivity, and cost savings.

What We're Looking For

Experience

  • 1-3 years of experience in a distribution or warehouse environment
  • Prior experience supervising or leading teams (preferred)

Education & Certifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Certified on powered industrial equipment, where applicable

Knowledge & Skills

  • Familiarity with distribution center operations
  • Basic understanding of business and financial reports
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven leadership and conflict resolution skills

Abilities

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational and record-keeping skills
  • Ability to align teams with departmental and business goals
  • Flexibility to work required schedules and shifts
  • Ability to work in temperatures ranging from -5F to 90F+
