X-ray Technologist / CT Technologist – Calgary, AB

TAPP Workforce Solutions is seeking on behalf of our client an X-ray Technologist / CT Technologist to join their expanding diagnostic imaging practice in Calgary, Alberta. The clinic is recognized for excellence in Musculoskeletal and Obstetrical Imaging, Interventional Radiology, and Pain Management. They are committed to providing compassionate patient care, supporting their referring providers, and fostering growth and development opportunities for their team.
Their subspecialty-trained Radiologists and highly skilled clinical and support staff ensure exceptional levels of care for all patients.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide professional and compassionate care to create an exceptional patient experience
    • Comfort patients by anticipating anxieties, answering questions, and maintaining a safe clinical environment
    • Review procedures for appropriateness and patient eligibility
    • Obtain patient history and educate patients on exam procedures
    • Set up, adjust, and operate X-ray equipment, selecting proper technical factors to obtain accurate diagnostic images
    • Assist physicians with interventional procedures by preparing the fluoroscopic suite, operating the C-arm, and processing equipment
    • Follow proper aseptic technique during procedures
    • Complete all required paperwork accurately
    • Maintain quality assurance of equipment and complete quality control logs
    • Assist with inventory control and stocking of supplies
    • Adhere to company standards including test procedures, methodology, turn-around-time, and confidentiality
    • Provide training and guidance to X-ray staff as required
    • Maintain knowledge of company procedures and standards
    • Protect patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality of medical, personal, and financial information
    • Perform other related duties as required
Requirements
  • Diploma or Degree in Radiography from an accredited institution
    • Registered member in good standing with ACMDTT
    Certifications/experience in Interventional Fluoroscopy procedures and Bone Mineral Densitometry (BMD) an asset
    • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
    • Patient-focused with excellent professionalism and ability to work under pressure
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office, email, and internet
Compensation & Benefits
  • X-ray Technologist: $39–$52/hr
    • X-ray / CT Technologist: $40–$51/hr
