About the team and position

We're looking for a motivated Recruiting Coordinator to join our Operations Talent Acquisition (Ops TA) team. In Ops TA, we support the backbone of our business by executing all stages of Talent Acquisition to find and secure the best talent for Carvana's core Operations teams (Customer Care, Inspection Center/Reconditioning, Logistics + Wholesale, Market Operations, ADESA Auction Operations).

As a Coordinator, Talent Acquisition (Operations), you will support the engagement and movement of candidates through the hiring process for entry-level roles. You'll interact frequently with hiring managers and candidates and will leverage provided leads and outlined processes to help fill high-volume hiring targets.

Important Details:

This is a fully on-site position, Monday through Friday, at our corporate HQ in Tempe, Arizona.

  • Upon hire, the Operations Recruiting Coordinator will begin a required six month review and assessment period to ensure the consistent ability to meet role-specific performance and competency standards.

What you'll be doing

  • Perform high-volume, frequent candidate contact (leveraging established leads) for entry-level positions within one or more of Carvana's Operations teams.
  • Interact with hiring managers to understand staffing needs.
  • Knowledgeably speak to the requirements and responsibilities of open/assigned roles, as well as the culture of the team/department and Carvana.
  • Verify candidates' possession of basic/required skills for applicable roles.
  • Ensure pre-hire processes (background check, DOT/MVR) are initiated and facilitated.
  • Manage and maintain a positive candidate experience through the new hire's start date.
  • Meet or exceed hiring metrics/KPIs designated for the Coordinator role.

What you should have/know

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • 1+ years of administrative experience OR a degree in Human Resources
  • Great interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills.
  • Ability to operate with urgency and keep up in a fast-paced / high-volume environment.

It would be great if you also have

  • Talent Acquisition or high-volume customer contact experience.
