Essential Requirements 

  • 8+ years of related experience 
  • Led cross-functional engineering teams to deliver projects, collaborating across business functions on scope, planning, budgeting, and risk management
  • Experienced in working with third-party technical partners to develop and integrate key dependencies
  • Strong technical acumen with the ability to interpret specifications and apply standards, plus solve complex problems through root cause analysis
  • Effective communicator with working knowledge of networking technologies (Ethernet, TCP/IP, FC/FCoE, iSCSI, InfiniBand, and NC-SI)

Desirable Requirements 

  • A degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Computer Engineering or Science

What you'll achieve: 

As a Principal Systems Development Engineer, in our Networking and Connectivity Engineering group, participates on or leads a Project Delivery Team in the integration of industry-leading networking products into Dell servers and storage systems, providing technical and project contributions as a member of a cross-functional team of engineers who are developing and qualifying firmware and software for Ethernet, Fibre Channel and Infiniband devices in these systems, and working closely with our technology partners and members of the Dell global engineering extended team. 

You will: 

  • Own module design, API contracts, and backward compatibility for system interfaces 
  • Improve test automation, code coverage, and release health metrics
  • Optimize runtime performance and troubleshoot production incidents 
  • Provide technical leadership through pairing, reviews, and knowledge sharing
