Job description

This position is responsible for providing supervision and direction to a group of application development resources to ensure development related projects and tasks are achieved. This position will support corporate initiatives including recruiting, employee retention, process improvements, and other activities required to meet both the needs of the organization and its internal customers. This position reports to the Director Corporate Systems.

Major Responsibilities
  • Allocates, schedules, and delegates all development tasks to the resources on the team.
  • Ensures quality assurance by continuous monitoring and review of Software Development Life Cycle procedures including:
    • Estimates for coding work
    • Initial solution design
    • Program coding
    • Code reviews
    • Unit testing
    • Change control
  • Provides technical coaching and mentorship to development resources within the team.
  • Manages HR attendance aspect of the resources including PTO/vacation requests, sick/leave requests, etc.
  • Performs annual resource performance appraisals, as required, with members of the team.
  • Responsible for coordinating and participating in all aspects of new hire recruiting, onboarding, and training activities.
  • Helps develops and/or maintain development resource policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree Information Technology or related, preferred
  • Approximately 4 years’ experience related development experience and technical skills normally associated with banking, lending, retail/point of sale software, and service-oriented architecture/enterprise service
  • 2+ years’ experience as a technical lead and/or supervisory experience with demonstrated leadership skill
  • Experience in Banking, Lending, and/or FinTech would be a plus
  • Experience in developing & maintaining IBM i (AS/400) applications with RPG ILE would be plus
  • Experience with C#.NET for point-of-sale development would be a plus
  • Experience with C#.NET for enterprise services development would be a plus
