Job Description Business Systems Analyst (Agile, Cloud & Data) Overview / Summary

We are seeking a Business Systems Analyst to work closely with product owners, IT teams, and business stakeholders to gather requirements, design system solutions, and support implementation. This role focuses on improving business processes, supporting system development, ensuring quality delivery, and enabling data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Gather and document business requirements through interviews, workshops, and analysis
  • Collaborate with product owners, developers, architects, and DevOps teams to design scalable solutions
  • Analyze existing systems and workflows to identify gaps and improvement opportunities
  • Develop functional specifications, system design requirements, and workflow diagrams
  • Support project planning activities including timelines, scope definition, and resource estimation
  • Participate in implementation phases alongside project managers and technical teams
  • Conduct system testing including functional, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT)
  • Act as a liaison between IT and business teams to ensure clear communication of requirements
  • Provide training and support to end-users
  • Collaborate with data teams to support data integration, reporting, and business intelligence
  • Develop and maintain reports and dashboards
  • Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives
  • Define acceptance criteria and collaborate with QA to ensure product quality
  • Lead UAT sessions and ensure readiness for deployment
  • Coordinate product releases with DevOps, release management, and support teams
  • Monitor post-launch performance and provide ongoing support
  • Ensure compliance with SOX, PCI-DSS, and other financial regulations
  • Partner with cybersecurity teams to ensure application security
  • Support audits, risk assessments, and disaster recovery planning
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or similar role
  • Experience with low-code platforms, SQL, and data visualization tools (preferred)
  • Experience with microservices architecture, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud-native applications
  • Hands-on experience with tools such as Git, Jenkins, or containerization technologies
  • Certifications such as CSPO, PSPO, or SAFe
Skills Needed
  • Knowledge of automation, monitoring, and logging tools
  • Proficiency with business analysis tools (Microsoft Visio, Lucidchart) and project management tools (ADO, Jira, Asana)
