Position Summary...What you'll do...Data Ventures exists to unlock the full value of Walmart's data by developing and productizing B2B data initiatives that empower merchants and clients to make better, faster business decisions. We are seeking a Senior Data Analyst to join the Analytics Consulting arm of our Research Services team. This individual contributor role sits in a client-facing analytics function that supports multiple business units. You will own and deliver high-quality analytics for revenue-generating client engagements, specializing in primary survey-based market research. The ideal candidate brings deep survey research expertise, thrives in a fast-paced environment, maintains a high bar for quality, and partners closely with both clients and internal stakeholders. What You'll Do
  • Lead survey analytics engagements: clarify business questions, define the analytical approach, and adapt as inputs change.
  • Design and advise on primary survey research (sampling, questionnaire input, and advanced methods such as segmentation, MaxDiff, and Conjoint).
  • Own end-to-end delivery from proposal support and analysis through insights and client-ready outputs.
  • Set and maintain data quality and analytical standards, including validation and QA aligned to ISO/global processing standards.
  • Act as a trusted analytics consultant and methods expert, communicating complex findings clearly to influence decisions.
  • Partner with product, technology, design, and research teams to support analytics productization and bring the client perspective into solutions.
Who You Are
  • Experienced in quantitative analysis and primary survey research in a client-facing setting.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity; able to make sound decisions and keep work moving with incomplete or evolving inputs.
  • Accountable for outcomes and committed to high-quality, methodologically sound work.
  • Able to design practical, flexible approaches for complex or nonstandard questions.
  • Strong storyteller and presenter: you translate survey data into clear insights for both technical and senior audiences.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Analytics, or a related field.
  • 5-6 years of experience in primary survey-based market research, consulting, or a comparable client-facing environment.
  • Hands-on experience with advanced survey analytics (e.g., statistical testing, regression, segmentation, pricing research, and trade-off methods such as MaxDiff and Conjoint).
  • Experience delivering in a client-facing, revenue-generating analytics/research environment, with accountability for quality and timelines.
  • Proficiency in R, Python, SAS, or similar, and ability to produce client-ready narratives and visualizations.
Nice to Have
  • Experience improving or formalizing analytical or research processes, standards, or ways of working in evolving or scaling teams.
  • Experience supporting analytics productization or reusable research solutionsin partnership with product or technology teams.

The annual salary range for this position is $96,000.00 - $186,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
