Your Opportunity:

This position plays a vital role in supporting the daily operations of the Operating Room Department at WestView Health Centre. Your key responsibilities will include ensuring clear and professional communication, staff and patient scheduling, filling pre-booked and immediate shifts, anticipating staff needs and informing managers of issues that require further attention. This role also encompasses payroll duties, ensuring employees are appropriately scheduled and payroll information is recorded in alignment with established policies, procedures and collective agreement provisions. Recruitment support includes posting of positions, booking interviews, scheduling and arranging the appropriate training for successful applicants and communication with the manager and other appropriate team members. The Administrative Support IV works closely with the physician support teams to navigate bookings, patient care, and appropriate management of the OR slate, quarterly allocation of the OR/Endoscopy dates, and facilitation of the scheduling of the physicians. It includes scheduling of patients for procedures in the Operating Room and Endoscopy, contacting patients to complete registration and schedule appointments, communicating with the surgical partners regarding bookings, slate changes, equipment needs, and surgical procedure reviews, and communicating and schedule changes to the appropriate team members. This position will also provide a variety of clerical support duties for the department and Manager, including collecting and recordings statistics, ordering supplies, answering phones, scheduling and coordination of meetings, managing inquiries, emails and coordinating complex calendars.
