Job description

Cloud Support Engineer

Location: Seattle, WA (Hybrid, 3 Days Onsite)

Seeking a Cloud Operations Engineer to support and maintain AWS infrastructure and cloud platforms supporting 100+ production applications. This role combines cloud operations, platform administration, incident management, automation, security, and Infrastructure-as-Code in a fast-paced environment.

Responisbilities:

  • Provide Tier 1/Tier 2 support for AWS cloud infrastructure and production applications.
  • Administer cloud platforms including Snowflake, MongoDB Atlas, and Confluent Cloud.
  • Monitor and respond to incidents, service requests, and operational escalations.
  • Manage Identity and Access Management (IAM) across AWS and SaaS platforms.
  • Implement and maintain monitoring and observability solutions (Datadog preferred).
  • Perform cloud backup and recovery operations.
  • Support cloud security controls, audits, compliance activities, and remediation efforts.
  • Create and maintain Terraform-based Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC).
  • Support AWS migration initiatives and post-migration stabilization.
  • Develop operational documentation and mentor junior team members.

Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of IT experience, including 3+ years supporting AWS environments.
  • AWS Solutions Architect Associate certification or equivalent experience.
  • Strong experience with AWS, Terraform, Python, GitHub, and Linux/Unix.
  • Knowledge of IAM, cloud security, and incident management.
  • Experience with Agile tools (Jira) and monitoring platforms such as Datadog.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred:

  • Experience with Snowflake, MongoDB Atlas, and Confluent Cloud.
  • Experience with AWS Backup or similar backup/recovery solutions.
  • Experience supporting audits, compliance, and regulated environments.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Seattle, WA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $70.00/hr.
