Description Of Services:
EUC Engineer Job Description Role Summary The End User Computing (EUC) Engineer is responsible for engineering, managing, securing, and optimizing the enterprise end user technology environment. This role oversees the configuration, deployment, and lifecycle management of desktops, mobile devices, applications, operating system images, and related EUC platforms such as Intune, SCCM, Active Directory, and JAMF. The engineer ensures reliable end user services, compliance with standards, and continuous improvement of workplace technology Key Responsibilities 1. Standard Operating Environment (SOE) Create and maintain SOE images aligned with client standards. Develop new SOE configuration image projects. Manage, maintain, and update existing software images. Perform unit testing and quality assurance on images. Validate images for software conflicts and compatibility issues. Conduct malware protection activities during image creation. Perform installation, integration, and functional testing. Update ITSM records upon successful image execution. Document all SOE configurations and build procedures. 2. Platform Engineering (Intune Administration) Recommend EUC platform standards, architecture, and design. Provide portfolio recommendations on desktop applications and consolidation efforts. Test compatibility of new standards with existing infrastructure. Document exceptions to standards. Conduct product/tool evaluations for EUC technologies. Track and document activities within ITSM. 3. Software Distribution & Management (Intune/SCCM) Develop standards for software packaging and distribution. Create deployment ready software packages (MSI/intunewin/etc.). Perform pre deployment testing for all software packages. Ensure compliance with software licensing requirements. Schedule and execute software deployments. Monitor distribution success and resolve installation failures. Maintain up to date software distribution documentation. Report distribution metrics and performance. 4. Mobile Device Management (Intune MDM) Configure and administer the MDM platform. Develop and maintain device enrollment procedures. Configure and manage device security policies and compliance rules. Deploy and manage mobile applications. Monitor compliance status and generate compliance reports. Maintain MDM documentation. Provide user support for device enrollment and configuration. 5. Active Directory Management Implement and maintain AD security controls. Monitor AD services, performance, and policies. Create and modify Group Policy Objects (GPOs). Optimize GPO design, structure, and performance. Maintain AD documentation. Generate periodic AD security and compliance reports.
