This role owns the end-to-end architectural integrity of the platform, ensuring it is secure, scalable, compliant, and aligned with Lear's global HR and IT strategy. The architect serves as a primary design lead for core workforce data structures, workflows, security, and integrations, balancing global standardization with legitimate regional requirements while minimizing unnecessary customization and technical debt.
Responsibilities
Your work will include, but not be limited to:
  • Own the architectural integrity of Lear's core workforce data model, including person, employment, job, position, and organization structures, ensuring consistent downstream consumption across access management, reporting, integrations, and enterprise platforms.
  • Define the architectural direction for Employee Central and related SuccessFactors capabilities, including cross-functional design dependencies, master data integrity, workflow frameworks, role-based permissions, and integration patterns.
  • Govern platform design standards, business rules, workflow frameworks, and configuration patterns to support global process consistency and sustainable platform evolution.
  • Define and govern Role-Based Permissions, sensitive data access patterns, and control design in partnership with Information Security, IAM, and audit stakeholders.
  • Lead architecture review and change governance for platform enhancements, vendor releases, and regional requests, ensuring design decisions are documented, traceable, and aligned to global standards.
  • Establish integration design patterns and standards for inbound, outbound, batch, and event-based interfaces, with emphasis on resiliency, monitoring, security, and operational supportability.
  • Partner across HR, HRIS, Enterprise Architecture, IAM, Information Security, Integration, reporting, and regional business stakeholders to align platform design with business priorities and enterprise standards.
  • Serve as the escalation point and decision authority for platform design disputes, exception requests, and competing regional or business requirements.

Your Qualifications
  • 10+ years in HR technology, with significant hands-on SAP SuccessFactors architecture experience in a complex global enterprise.
  • Deep expertise in Employee Central, with familiarity across other SuccessFactors capabilities and cross-functional design dependencies, including master data integrity, workflow frameworks, role-based permissions, and integration patterns.
  • Strong expertise in enterprise-grade integrations using OData, REST, Integration Center, Compound Employee, and event-based interface patterns, including payroll and time and attendance integrations.
  • Strong understanding of security architecture, sensitive data controls, audit readiness, and access governance within SuccessFactors.
  • Experience acting as a technical design authority who can drive standardization where appropriate while accommodating necessary local requirements.
  • Experience leading design through implementation partners and cross-functional delivery teams.
  • Ability to communicate architectural decisions, tradeoffs, and risks clearly to technical and executive audiences.

Bonus if You Have
  • Experience with SAP HCM / ERP HCM in legacy on-prem environments
  • Experience supporting global HR platforms with regional compliance and localization requirements
  • Strong HR data governance and master data management experience
