At Foundation Building Materials (FBM), Outside Sales Professionals are trusted advisors who drive growth through strong B2B relationships and value-driven solutions. Out in the field, you'll uncover opportunities, support clients, and fuel long-term success.
Responsibilities and Qualifications
Key Responsibilities
  1. Customer Service & Sales Support
  • Build, develop, and maintain strong relationships with contractors, architects, designers, and key decision-makers within the assigned territory
  • Serve as a trusted advisor by providing technical guidance on stucco, exterior systems, and product applications
  • Maintain consistent, professional communication with customers before, during, and after the sale to ensure satisfaction and repeat business
  • Identify and pursue new B2B sales opportunities while expanding existing accounts
  • Conduct regular field sales calls to job sites, offices, and customer locations to strengthen relationships and drive revenue
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key influencers and strategic partners to support long-term growth
  • Develop and deliver tailored sales presentations and product demonstrations in collaboration with internal teams and vendor representatives
  • Educate customers on product features, installation methods, and best practices to drive informed purchasing decisions
  • Partner with internal teams and vendors to ensure accurate quoting, order fulfillment, and on-time delivery
  • Support a seamless sales process by coordinating customer needs, product availability, and project timelines

  • Attend and participate in required company training session and essential vendor trainings
  • Stay up to date on product knowledge, market trends, and competitive offerings within exterior systems

Qualifications
  • Effective and skillful communication skills, negotiation, and computer skills along with the drive and passion to succeed
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with contractors, vendors, and key decision-makers
  • Proven ability to prospect, develop, and manage B2B client relationships in an outside sales environment
  • Technical knowledge of stucco, exterior systems, plastering products, and application processes strongly preferred
  • Ability to educate and advise customers on product selection, installation methods, and best practices
  • Results-driven with a proactive, customer-focused approach and strong follow-through
  • Highly organized, reliable, and able to manage multiple accounts, projects, and priorities effectively
  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills, with the ability to deliver tailored product solutions
  • Proficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
  • Ambitious with a strong work ethic and a continuous learning mindset (especially around technical products)
  • Minimum 2+ years of contractor-facing or B2B sales experience preferred
  • Building materials experience required, with a strong preference for stucco/exterior product knowledge
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred (or equivalent industry experience)
