Fat Property manages a 2,000+ unit portfolio across Houston, ranging from historic vintage buildings in Montrose to larger multi-family communities. We are looking for a reliable, multi-talented Maintenance Technician to help keep our properties running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work Orders: Complete daily tenant repair requests (plumbing, electrical, appliance, and general fixes).
  • Make-Readies: Turn over vacant units efficiently (painting, drywall repair, locks, and fixtures).
  • HVAC Maintenance: Troubleshoot and service heating and cooling units.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Inspect and maintain building systems, common areas, and exteriors.
  • Emergency On-Call: Participate in an after-hours on-call rotation for urgent issues.

Requirements

  • Experience: 2+ years in apartment maintenance or general property trades.
  • Skills: Solid foundation in plumbing, basic electrical, drywall/painting, and appliance repair.
  • Certifications: EPA certification (Type II or Universal) preferred.
