Qualified techs can make on average between $50-70k/Annually - D.O.E.
• Our structured cabling technicians install a variety of fiber optics and category cabling solutions in commercial and residential multi-dwellings. Duties also include fusion splicing, wall fishing, and pipe bending while working both indoors and outdoors.
• Our technicians install network systems in new and existing construction.

Requirements
Roles and Responsibilities for Structured Cabling Technician
• Confirming needed supplies, tools and equipment and communicating with supervisor(s) and team leads clearly and effectively while on a job site
  • Consult with supervisor and team leads on specifications of work orders
  • Planning to perform each job safely and efficiently
  • Installing, maintaining, and repairing cable infrastructure
  • Performing maintenance on existing cabling systems

• Ensuring all cables are managed according to industry and safety regulations
  • Cleaning up site, conducting final account review with supervisor(s) and team leads
  • Reporting end of each day to update the project progress

Requirements
Structured Cabling Technicians Job Requirements
  • Good written and verbal communication skills required
  • Basic computer skills required; basic electronics and/or audio/video knowledge is helpful
  • Strong customer service skills; friendly, approachable and motivated with a strong work ethic and high degree of integrity
  • Physically able to stand for long periods of time on a ladder, lift over 70 lbs at times, crawl into small spaces, work in all climates and remain within the weight requirement of 275 lbs
  • Physically able and comfortable, climbing and working on ladders at heights up to 32', potentially in inclement weather
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Successful completion of a background check and drug test is required for employment consideration

• Have an ability to take input from customers, supervisors, leads and co-workers to problem solve and improve skills.
Education & Experience
  • High school diploma (or GED) required; college or technical/vocational school a plus
  • Any cabling experience is preferred but willing to train the right candidates

Other Skills & Qualifications
  • Assertive, yet consultative and results oriented with a contagious competitive attitude
  • Basic computer skills: including use of the web and mobile apps
  • Excellent communication skills; including, articulation, and grammar

Additional Information
Our business is open five days a week, but our installation service might extend beyond normal business hours and possibly into the night. Some travel with overnight stays will be required. Schedules tend to remain fixed; however, flexibility is a requirement.
