About the Role:

The Project Manager is responsible for managing technology infrastructure, low voltage, structured cabling, fiber optic, and related deployment projects from initiation through closeout. This role serves as the primary point of contact for customers, field technicians, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within scope, and within budget.

The ideal candidate has a strong technical background and understands the realities of field-based infrastructure projects. This position is well-suited for someone who began their career in the field as a technician, installer, or infrastructure specialist and transitioned into project management.


Responsibilities

- Lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring successful delivery

- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, resource allocations, and risk mitigation strategies

- Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget

- Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques

- Coordinate customers, subcontractors, field resources, and internal stakeholders throughout project execution

- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation

- Maintain project margins, internal project metrics and KPI’s

- Exceed customer SLA’s and ensure a 24-hour response time

- Manage low voltage, structured cabling, fiber optic, network infrastructure, and technology deployment projects

- Identify and mitigate project risks before they impact schedule, budget, or customer satisfaction

Requirements:

Who we are looking for

We are seeking a hands-on, technically minded Project Manager with experience delivering low voltage, fiber optic, structured cabling, technology infrastructure, or telecommunications projects. The ideal candidate is highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple projects with minimal supervision. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to build relationships with customers, technicians, and subcontractors are essential. Proven ability to manage multiple projects independently with limited supervision.


Required Qualifications

- High School Diploma or GED

- Minimum 2 years of project management experience supporting technology infrastructure, low voltage, telecommunications, structured cabling, networking, or fiber optic projects

- Excellent client-facing, written and verbal communication skills

- Experience utilizing project management platforms and business software tools such as Microsoft Project, Quickbase, Smartsheet, Voyager, or similar systems.

- Experience working directly with field technicians, installation teams, and subcontractors.

- Strong project planning, organizational, and documentation skills

- Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project management methodologies


Preferred Qualifications

- Additional technical training, project management education, or industry certifications

- Hands-on technical experience in low voltage systems, fiber optics, structured cabling, networking, telecommunications, distribution center, or large-scale infrastructure deployment experience

- Experience using Quickbase, Voyager, or Smartsheet

- Industry certifications such as PMP or similar project management training
