Job description

As a Technician II Structured Cabling with Bosch Building Technologies, you will be a key contributor to the installation, maintenance, and support of structured cabling systems for our clients. Your technical expertise and attention to detail ensure the delivery of reliable, highโ€‘quality infrastructure solutions.
Responsibilities:

  • Install and service cabling infrastructure and devices for Data and Audio Visual andโ€ฏCCTV;โ€ฏincludesโ€ฏpre-wiring, installation, termination, labeling, testing and reporting per specifications and drawings.โ€ฏย 
  • Install network racks and cabinets in server rooms.โ€ฏย 
  • Interact with customers and prospects, ensuring all inquiries are handled professionally.โ€ฏย 
  • Adhere to Bosch Building Technology'sย Quality and Safety programs.โ€ฏย 
  • Complete detailed and accurate documentation, including OHS checks, packing slips, checklists, as-builts, test results.โ€ฏย 
  • You may be required to work โ€œnight shiftsโ€ when needed based on project/service requirements.
  • Consistently provide high levels of customer service.โ€ฏย 
  • Travel and overtime may be requested with this position on an ad hoc basis.โ€ฏย 
  • Perform additional duties as required.โ€ฏย 
Required Qualifications:
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in structured cabling installation & servicing.
  • Valid Driverโ€™s License with clean abstract and no restrictions.โ€ฏย 
  • Experience pulling, terminating and testing cat5/6 and fiber optic cables.โ€ฏโ€ฏย 
  • Experience installing other cabling infrastructure (racks, cabinets,โ€ฏetc)โ€ฏ.โ€ฏย 
  • Experience installing other low voltage systems (CCTV, access control, AV, wireless, unified communication, nurse call, RTLS).โ€ฏย 
  • Flexibility to work in a variety of environments, from construction sites to finished corporate offices.โ€ฏย 
  • Comfortable working at heightsย and must be able to lift upwards of 50 pounds.โ€ฏโ€ฏย 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with keen attention to detail.โ€ฏย 
  • Strong problem-solving skills.โ€ฏย 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Post-secondary education in electrical, telecommunications, electronics, or equivalent is considered an asset.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., BICSI, CFOT, Specific Manufacturer training) are a plus.
