Position Overview:

The Business Strategy Manager is responsible for driving strategic initiatives that improve operational performance, business processes, and organizational effectiveness across LegalStream. This role partners with executive leadership to identify opportunities for growth, improve operational efficiency, develop performance metrics, and implement solutions that enhance client service and business outcomes.

The Business Strategy Manager serves as a cross-functional leader, working collaboratively with Operations, Technology, Business Intelligence, Accounting, Client Services, Performance Management, Vendor Management, and other business units to analyze current processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and lead initiatives that support LegalStream’s long-term strategic objectives.

Success in this role requires strong analytical skills, business acumen, project leadership, and the ability to translate complex business challenges into practical, data-driven solutions.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Finance, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field preferred.
  • Five or more years of experience in business strategy, operations, project management, business analysis, or a related field.
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects and strategic initiatives.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience developing reports, dashboards, and key performance indicators.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and drive organizational change without direct authority.


Responsibilities:

  • Partner with executive leadership to support LegalStream’s strategic initiatives and long-term business objectives.
  • Analyze business operations and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, scalability, and client service.
  • Develop and maintain executive dashboards, scorecards, and key performance indicators.
  • Evaluate operational performance and provide recommendations that improve business results.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives from planning through implementation.
  • Facilitate process improvement efforts across departments to reduce inefficiencies and improve workflow consistency.
  • Gather and document business requirements for operational and technology initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Business Intelligence and Technology teams to improve reporting, automation, and system capabilities.
  • Develop executive presentations, business cases, and strategic recommendations.
  • Monitor project performance and measure the effectiveness of implemented solutions.
  • Identify operational risks and recommend corrective actions to improve performance.
  • Support organizational planning, change management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Research industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to identify opportunities that strengthen LegalStream’s competitive position.
  • Perform additional strategic projects and initiatives as assigned.
