We take pride in our stores, our team members, and the communities we serve. We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Store Merchandiser to join our team in Effingham, IL.

At Jack Flash, we believe our people are the most important part of our business. The Store Merchandiser plays a key role in creating an inviting store experience by ensuring product displays are visually appealing, fully stocked, and well maintained. This position works closely with store managers, vendors, and other team members and requires strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Position Overview

The Store Merchandiser is responsible for maintaining the visual standards of the store, managing product flow, and supporting inventory accuracy. This role requires a high level of organization, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while maintaining consistent productivity throughout the shift.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Maintain the visual integrity and presentation of the sales floor
  • Create attractive, well-organized product displays that drive sales
  • Ensure timely processing of incoming shipments and vendor deliveries
  • Maintain adequate inventory levels and minimize product shortages
  • Conduct physical inventory counts and assist with inventory accuracy
  • Monitor product rotation, cleanliness, and overall store appearance
  • Support store upkeep, including cleanliness and organization standards
  • Demonstrate creative problem-solving skills in merchandising challenges
  • Provide customers with excellent Service, Quality, Cleanliness, and Value
  • Work collaboratively with store managers, team members, and vendors
  • Maintain steady productivity through observation and self-management
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned to support store operations

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required; college degree preferred or equivalent experience
  • Previous merchandising experience in a retail environment strongly preferred
  • Proficient computer skills, including Excel and Windows-based systems
  • Strong verbal communication and listening skills
  • Ability to stand, walk, stoop, and bend for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Valid state driver's license required
