Job description

Position summary: a Retail Stocker at Simply Southern is responsible for organizing and replenishing goods in our retail stores so that consumers have access to the merchandise they are looking for by organizing product displays and storage. A competent Retail Stocker should be able to handle a variety of tasks and responsibilities. Their primary duties will include unloading trucks, organizing stock room, counting inventory, adding price tags to items, putting products on shelves according to an organized system, and communicating with team members.

Essential duties and responsibilities of a retail stocker

- Receive merchandise that comes into the store and ensure that the merchandise is unloaded, sorted, and stored according to established procedure.

- Follow the best practices for safety while loading or unloading a truck or van.

- Thoroughlyinspect merchandise for quality and accuracy.

- Organize and arrange products on shelves with precision.

- Stock the shelves of the storeroom with goods and keep inventory organized.

- Manage and maintain the storage conditions of goods received in the storeroom.

- Providecommunication with other team members as to where to locate goods in the storeroom.

- Dispose of trash and work to maintain the cleanliness of the storeroom.

Required knowledge, skills, and abilities

- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

- Be able to speak and read English.

- Have excellent time management skills and the ability to efficiently prioritize tasks to meet stocking and inventory deadlines.

- Basic math skills.
