How You Fit In

The Director of Sales/Account Executive is a member of our core sales team and is responsible for originating new customers and driving deals to a successful close. The ideal candidate will own sales targets, formulate go-to-market strategies, and identify the resources required for success. The Director of Sales/Account Executive will work closely with our presales and technical teams to determine if a given prospect impacts the value proposition for the Bidgely customer.

The Director of Sales reports into the VP of Sales or Senior Director.

  • Manage day to day sales efforts for Bidgely’s product suite including development, qualification and execution of sales opportunities through cold-outreach and introductions via warm hand off

  • Collaborate with marketing, technical sales, and product to ensure successful execution of new deals

  • Build relationships with customers and key decision makers to become trusted industry resource

  • Monitor and provide timely and accurate forecasts of business performance, opportunities, and pipelines

  • Maintain accurate records in Salesforce

  • Review, prepare and negotiate proposals with customers

 

How You Succeed

  • Building Strong Relationships: Cultivate relationships with customers and key decision-makers to establish trust and credibility. This involves understanding their needs, providing solutions, and maintaining consistent communication.

  • Driving Sales Performance: Take ownership of sales targets, develop effective go-to-market strategies, and proactively identify resources needed to achieve success. Consistently monitor and report on sales performance, opportunities, and pipelines.

  • Navigating Complex Sales: Demonstrate expertise in handling complex sales situations, including those with long sales cycles and high-value transactions. Utilize strategic thinking, patience, and effective negotiation skills to close deals successfully.

 

You Will Bring

  • 5+ years utility experience working with/for electric, gas and/or water utilities in North America OR a combined experience of at least 2+ years of experience in B2B SaaS or Enterprise Sales, Software Sales selling to utility-like companies AND at least 3+ years of demonstrated knowledge of the regulated utility space with a specific focus in the following areas: grid modernization, electric vehicles, decarbonization and demand side management.

  • Ability to navigate and effectively manage long sales cycles, utilizing patience and strategic follow-ups.

  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of our SaaS solutions, highlighting features, benefits, and ROI to potential clients.

  • A self-starter mentality that can connect with and build strong relationships with customers.

  • The ability to demonstrate strong emotional intelligence and a persuasive attitude towards the value of Bidgely products to top executives.

  • Demonstrated ability to handle complex sales situations and to close multi-million dollar transactions.

  • Ability to thrive and work in a dynamic fast-paced environment.
