Job description

Who is Saint Louis University? Founded in 1818, Saint Louis University is one of the nation's oldest and most prestigious Catholic universities. SLU, which also has a campus in Madrid, Spain, is recognized for world-class academics, life-changing research, compassionate health care, and a strong commitment to faith and service.

Under the general direction of the Department of Athletics, Saint Louis University is seeking a full-time Sports Performance intern who will assist in the day-to-day operations of the Sports Performance Department, including but not limited to administrative duties, facility upkeep, program design, and program implementation.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the design, development, and implementation of Sport Performance programs for assigned intercollegiate athletic sport teams.

  • Assist with performance testing of student-athletes.

  • Required to keep accurate and up-to-date records.

  • Assist with cleaning, maintaining, and organizing the weight room facility.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proven ability to work independently, prioritize, and complete tasks promptly.

  • Excellent communication skills required for working with diverse groups.

  • Strong written communication skills; excellent organizational skills with accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Demonstrated appreciation for diversity and inclusion.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required; one year of experience preferred.

  • CSCCA or CSCS certified.

  • CPR and AED certification.
