Job description

The Williston Northampton School, an independent, co-educational boarding and day school located in Easthampton, MA, is seeking a part time Sports Performance Coach (25-30 hours a week) for the 2026-2027 school year. Williston competes in the NEPSAC League, one of the most highly competitive high school leagues in New England. This position is paid hourly based on the candidate's prior experience and expertise. The Sports Performance Coach will have the opportunity to coach many high-level athletes across all sports, 30% of the student body competes in all divisions of the NCAA.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and effective weight room with the goal of improving sport performance and increasing injury resilience. Additionally, the candidate must have the goal of developing the whole student athlete and must be a positive role model and leader for our youth athletes. The candidate will work directly with the Director of Sports Performance to design and implement strength and conditioning programs. The candidate will also work closely with the sports medicine staff to implement return to sport training protocols and to make modifications to training as needed. Minimum qualifications: must have a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Exercise Science or a related field of study and must hold a CSCS certification. Other certifications may be considered. Must also be CPR/AED certified. The candidate must be available in the afternoon's, evenings and for a few hours on Saturdays. Must be able to work independently and as a team member. Must be able to successfully complete the mandated CORI, SORI, general and fingerprint-based background checks.
