As the Solutions Architect you will provide expertise across multiple architectural domains, addresses end to end solutions and identifies opportunities to shape the future of the business through technology in alignment with the goals, needs, and objectives of the company. Responsible for development standards and roadmaps, assessment of new technologies for investment, and articulating the transition from current to future state in consideration of the emerging needs of the business, security policies and requirements, and striking an optimal balance between standardization, customization, innovation, costs and risk management.  You will collaborate with development teams to ensure well-engineered, tested and deployed application systems components adhering to defined development principles, patterns and standards, as well as perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Lead solution architecture planning and execution for complex, cross-domain initiatives.
Design and govern end-to-end solution architectures, including application, integration, data, and infrastructure components.
Define and promote modern architecture patterns, including:
Event-driven and real-time architectures
Service-oriented and API-first designs
Cloud-native and platform-based solutions
Partner with delivery teams to ensure solutions are well-architected, secure, scalable, performant, and supportable.
Evaluate emerging technologies and platforms, recommending investments aligned to business outcomes.
Develop and maintain architecture standards, patterns, and reference designs.
Collaborate with business partners to determine buy vs. build decisions and translate business needs into technical solutions.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development and engineering teams.
Participate in project intake, planning, and design reviews to ensure architectural alignment.
Work closely with Enterprise Architecture to ensure consistency with enterprise standards and long-term roadmaps.
Focus Areas
This role is expected to have hands-on experience or strong architectural understanding in the following areas:
Big Data & Analytics Platforms
Experience designing solutions using modern data platforms such as Databricks, cloud data lakes, and lakehouse architectures
Data ingestion, transformation, and analytics at scale (batch and streaming)
Analytics, reporting, and data product enablement
Real-Time & Event-Driven Solutions
Architecting real-time data pipelines and streaming solutions (e.g., Kafka, Event Hubs, Kinesis, pub/sub patterns)
Designing event-driven integrations between systems
Supporting low-latency operational and customer-facing use cases
Integration & APIs
RESTful APIs, messaging, and asynchronous integration patterns
SOA and microservices-based architectures
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
5+ years of experience as a Solutions Architect or member of an architecture team providing technical leadership.
Strong experience with modern software development life cycl
