As a Solution Delivery Manager, you will frequently coordinate with cross-functional teams—including developers, business analysts, and client stakeholders—to ensure project requirements are clearly understood and delivered on time. You’ll facilitate regular meetings, manage communication between technical and non-technical team members, and address any roadblocks that may arise. Job description

Principal Solution Delivery Manager (RTE)

Apply now Job no: 504749
Work type: Full Time Regular
Location: Remote
Categories: Information Technology

We are seeking a Principal Solution Delivery Manager to serve as a Release Train Engineer (RTE) within the Workplace Solutions Agile Release Trains (ARTs). This role is a senior-level project management position responsible for leading large, complex initiatives in a Scaled Agile (SAFe) environment. You will ensure strong alignment, coordination, and predictable outcomes across multiple teams while driving both successful delivery and continuous improvement in how work flows through the system.

As an RTE for Workplace Solutions, you will lead mission-critical programs that span five or more teams and multiple business and technology partners. You will be accountable for end-to-end planning and execution, including managing scope, dependencies, risks, timelines, and delivery outcomes. You will guide ART-level planning and execution, ensuring work is aligned to strategic priorities and delivered in a way that balances speed, quality, and value. This role requires strong project and program management discipline combined with the ability to operate effectively in a dynamic, Agile environment.

This role is classified as remote; however, periodic in-person attendance will be required at times for activities such as quarterly or project planning, training, or other business-critical meetings.

WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU:

  • Estimated Salary (Levels have variable responsibilities and qualifications)
      • I/S Principal Solution Delivery Manager: $130,000 - $140,000, plus 15% annual bonus opportunity
  • 401(k) plan with a 2% company contribution and 6% company match.
  • Work-life balance with vacation, personal time and paid holidays. See our benefits and perks page for details.
  • Applicants for this position must not now, nor at any point in the future, require sponsorship for employment.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Lead large, complex initiatives within the Workplace Solution ART, serving as a Release Train Engineer for an Agile Release Train or program supporting five or more stable teams.
  • Own end-to-end delivery planning and execution across run, grow, and transform work, ensuring alignment to strategic objectives.
  • Partner closely with Product Management, Technology Leadership, and business stakeholders to identify outcomes, manage dependencies, and mitigate risks.
  • Drive delivery predictability through strong planning, transparency, and proactive issue and risk management.
  • Tailor delivery and execution practices to fit the complexity of the work, avoiding one-size-fits-all approaches and serving as the process expert for applicable approaches including PMBOK, Scrum, predictive, hybrid, XP, and Kanban.
  • Facilitate large-scale planning, ART optimization, critical path planning sessions, and other critical collaboration discussions, as needed.
  • Use data and real-world insights to identify improvement opportunities and increase flow, throughput, and value delivery.
  • Serve as delivery system thought leader through coaching, facilitation, and hands-on support across teams and leaders.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts across the ART and broader delivery ecosystem.
  • Promote a culture of diversity and inclusion, value different ideas and opinions, and listen courageously, remaining curious in all that you do.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

  • 5+ years of experience leading complex programs with an annual internal labor cost exceeding $5 million, successfully managing dependencies and delivery across 5+ Agile teams, along with 5-10 years of combined project and/or program management experience in increasingly progressive technology roles.
  • Ability to obtain PMP + RTE or SPC (SAFe Program Consultant) + Kanban certification within 18 months of hire. Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development and Agile maturity.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Related field of study (Business Administration/Management Information Systems) or equivalent internal experience.
  • Ability to analyze large datasets with multiple abstract and concrete variables, drawing actionable insights to optimize program performance. Demonstrated expertise in risk management, problem-solving, and influencing key stakeholders to drive outcomes.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams, advocating for change, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and adaptability. Strong coaching skills to empower teams and individuals, creating an environment of trust, collaboration, and innovation.
  • Excellent critical thinking and influencing skills. An ability to collaborate across disciplines and communicate technical concepts clearly.
  • Demonstrated professional agility in planning, monitoring, managing scope and dependencies, resourcing, ensuring quality, maintaining communication, managing risk, and controlling costs.
  • Ability to use data-driven analysis to recommend improvements to ART (Agile Release Train)/area performance and large-scale delivery.
  • Able to work remotely with access to a high-speed internet connection and located in the United States or Puerto Rico.

PREFERRED:

  • Experience serving as a Release Train Engineer, Solution Train Engineer, or equivalent large-scale delivery leadership role
  • Deep experience with group insurance products, including expertise in customer needs, business processes, value streams, and supporting systems and technologies
  • Strong understanding of group insurance benefit administration platforms, their roles in the market, and how they integrate with insurance carriers to support seamless delivery and client satisfaction
  • Insight into group insurance customers and operational dynamics, enabling strategic decision-making and solution design that meets evolving market and client demands, including maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the project management of emerging technologies, including API integration and modern system architectures and experience project managing the integration of new digital tools with legacy backend systems.
  • Advanced Agile certifications such as C.S.M. (Certified Scrum Master), PMI-ACP (Agile Certified Practitioner), or Certified DevOps Practitioner.
  • Additional SAFe certifications (SA, SSM, SP) to support scaled Agile and continuous delivery initiatives.
  • Continuing professional education (20 hours annually) and/or Master's degree in Business Administration, Management Information Systems, or related fields.
