GENERAL FUNCTION
In this role, you will play a crucial role in driving sales growth by developing and maintaining strong relationships with both new and existing clients. You will utilize your industry knowledge and networking skills to identify opportunities and effectively present our innovative optical solutions.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead Generation: Proactively establish and follow up on sales leads while building and nurturing industry contacts across multiple distributors.
  • Sales Presentations: Create and deliver compelling sales presentations to effectively close deals with prospective and current customers. You will also be expected to engage in public speaking at industry events and seminars, showcasing our products and brand effectively.
  • Marketing Assets Utilization: Effectively utilize available marketing, training, and educational resources to support merchandising efforts in customer offices, enhancing product visibility and sales opportunities.
  • Industry Engagement: Attend select industry trade shows, conferences, seminars, and speaker events to enhance brand visibility and generate customer leads. Actively participate in panel discussions and presentations to share insights and represent the Company professionally.
  • Territory Management Skills: Demonstrate strong territory management skills, including effective planning, call cycle management, follow-up, and targeted outreach strategies to maximize sales opportunities and maintain customer relationships.
  • Customer Business Reviews: Perform effective customer business reviews by leveraging strong business acumen and customer coaching skills to analyze performance metrics, identify growth opportunities, and provide actionable recommendations to enhance customer satisfaction and success.
  • Reporting: Prepare and submit comprehensive reports, including daily notes in LensRep, weekly updates for the Regional Director, and expense reports, while actively participating in weekly team calls.
  • Market Awareness: Stay informed about industry trends and technological advancements to offer informed recommendations to clients.
  • Sales Targets: Achieve annual sales targets for your designated territory, as established by management.
  • Travel Requirements: Travel extensively throughout the assigned territory, with up to 80% travel based on the geographic size of the territory, to showcase new products, designs, and company technologies, including overnight stays.
  • Networking Strategies: Utilize various sales techniques, such as cold calling and regular office visits, to identify and pursue new accounts. You will work to develop a network of distributor contacts to enhance collaboration and ensure customer satisfaction in a dynamic market.
  • Performance Metrics: Execute annual company objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs) as defined by sales leadership.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other related tasks as assigned by management.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Solid understanding of the wholesale optical industry and proven sales experience with optical products
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong negotiation abilities
  • Self-motivated, energetic approach to work.
  • Comfortable with public speaking and presenting to diverse audiences
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities and ability to work independently without close supervision.
  • Proficient in basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • This position requires the ability to lift, pull, or push objects weighing less than 25 pounds.
