Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious  Sign Installer.

The ideal candidate will possess technical proficiency, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, outdoor environment. A strong commitment to safety and the ability to collaborate with coworkers and supervisors are essential to success in this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Install NCDOT Type D, E, and F permanent roadside signs according to project plans and specifications.
  • Install temporary construction signs using square tubing, portable sign stands, and other approved mounting systems.
  • Read construction plans, sign schedules, and traffic control plans.
  • Measure, locate, and mark sign locations accurately.
  • Set posts in concrete or driven foundations as required.
  • Assemble sign panels, brackets, and mounting hardware.
  • Verify proper sign height, offset, orientation, and spacing to meet NCDOT standards.
  • Load, unload, and transport materials safely.
  • Operate company trucks, trailers, and light construction equipment.
  • Perform daily inspections of vehicles, tools, and equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized worksite.
  • Follow all OSHA, MUTCD, and NCDOT safety requirements.
  • Work safely around live traffic while utilizing proper traffic control procedures.
  • Complete work efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, inspectors, and project managers.

  • Ability to read tape measures and construction plans
  • Valid driver's license 
  • Ability to lift 75+ pounds repeatedly
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
