Automation Products Group (APG) is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to support our sales team. In this role, you'll work closely with customers, distributors, manufacturers' representatives, and internal departments to identify opportunities, provide product recommendations, prepare quotes, and help grow our customer base.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys combining customer service, technical problem-solving, and sales in a collaborative manufacturing environment.
What you'll Do:
• Build and strengthen relationships with existing customers while identifying opportunities for additional business.
• Qualify new sales leads and product opportunities.
• Support the outside sales team by following up on inquiries, online chats, and requests for information.
• Prepare accurate product quotations and coordinate with manufacturing to establish realistic lead times.
• Provide pricing, product information, and sales support to customers, distributors, manufacturers' representatives, and sales managers.
• Work with engineering to develop solutions and special pricing when needed.
• Visit customers as needed to strengthen relationships and support sales efforts.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, purchasing, accounting, customer service, and shipping to ensure an exceptional customer experience.
• Serve as backup for application engineering support, customer service calls, quotation generation, and sales order entry.
• Attend industry trade shows and represent APG professionally.

• 2-3+ years of inside sales, customer service, account management, or related experience.
• Proven ability to build strong customer relationships and uncover new business opportunities.
• Outstanding phone and communication skills.
• Strong initiative and confidence in proactively contacting customers and developing leads.
• Ability and willingness to learn technical industrial products and applications.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
