Job Summary:

The Sales Manager is primarily responsible for managing the sales and profitability of current business for assigned accounts as well as supporting the development and execution of Musashi strategic growth plans in pursuit of future sales. In this role, you will collaborate with business development, engineering, manufacturing, finance, purchasing, quality and customer service functions to ensure company goals are achieved. You will provide leadership, demonstrate strategic thinking and present innovative approaches to developing strong relationships with customers, connecting with key stakeholders and negotiating resolution to commercial issues and contracts. The Sales Manager will also be called on to support the development of people and processes that drive growth and improved efficiencies for Musashi.


Reports to: Director of Sales (Musashi North America, Inc.)


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or engineering required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of proven experience in managing automotive accounts.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams to execute company and customer objectives.
  • Strong problem solving, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong relationship building externally and internally.
  • Strong understanding of financial concepts and cost structure.

  • Build strong relationships with the customer through extraordinary service and understanding of the customer needs
  • Proactively engage with the customer daily concerning the following: o Quoting and Change Management o Price Tracking o Sales Planning o Growth Strategies o Conflict Resolution
  • Lead the closure of all open commercial issues (internal and external)
  • Prepare and present financial proposals to upper management for all pursued protentional business awards to align with overall organizations objectives
  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan for the customer account
  • Build and maintain key strategic customer relationships
  • Actively support operational and product development teams
  • Lead acquisition planning and teams to position organization to obtain targeted business that meets organizational financial metrics and aligns with growth strategy
  • Proactively maintain CRM system to ensure data integrity and accuracy for customer programs
  • Understanding of market conditions and competitive landscape for each product line Skills and Abilities
