Summary
Senior Sales Manager - Mold & Die Software
Reports To: Sales Director, Production Machining Software
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Sales Manager to lead a high-performing sales team while driving revenue growth for our industry-leading Mold & Die software solutions. This is a strategic leadership role responsible for coaching and developing a small team of Account Managers while maintaining direct responsibility for key enterprise accounts.
The ideal candidate combines strong leadership skills with a proven track record selling CAD/CAM, manufacturing software, or engineering technology into mold makers, die shops, tooling manufacturers, and precision machining organizations throughout the United States & Canada.
This remote position offers the opportunity to influence sales strategy, mentor a growing team, and help manufacturers improve productivity through advanced software solutions.
Job Responsibilities
Sales Leadership
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of 3-6 sales professionals.
  • Establish performance goals and monitor sales metrics.
  • Conduct regular one-on-one coaching sessions and performance reviews.
  • Assist with territory planning, pipeline management, and forecasting.
  • Foster a collaborative, customer-focused sales culture.

Business Development
  • Drive new business acquisition across assigned U.S. territories.
  • Identify opportunities within mold, die, tooling, aerospace, automotive, medical, and precision manufacturing markets.
  • Develop executive-level relationships with customers and strategic partners.
  • Responsible for forecasting a business within 5% accuracy.
  • Manage complex sales cycles from prospecting through contract negotiation and closing.
  • Collaborate with marketing on lead generation campaigns and industry events.

Customer Success
  • Understand customer manufacturing workflows and business challenges.
  • Recommend software solutions that improve machining efficiency, programming automation, and production quality.
  • Coordinate demonstrations, proof-of-concepts, and technical presentations with Application Engineers.
  • Maintain long-term customer relationships to maximize retention and account growth.

Strategic Planning
  • Develop regional sales strategies aligned with company objectives.
  • Prepare accurate monthly forecasts and pipeline reports.
  • Analyze market trends, competitive activity, and customer feedback.
  • Recommend improvements to sales processes and go-to-market strategies.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of successful B2B software sales experience.
  • 3+ years leading or managing sales teams.
  • Experience selling CAD/CAM, manufacturing software, engineering software, or industrial technology.
  • Proven success managing complex enterprise sales opportunities.
  • Strong consultative selling and negotiation skills.
  • Experience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, or HubSpot.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% within the United States.
  • Experience selling Mold & Die software solutions.
  • Knowledge of CAD/CAM systems including Hexagon, VISI, EDGECAM, Mastercam, Tebis, Cimatron, Siemens NX CAM, or similar platforms.
  • Understanding of CNC machining, mold manufacturing, die design, tooling, and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience working with manufacturing customers in automotive, aerospace, medical, or consumer products industries.
