Broadridge is seeking a Vice President of Software Engineering to lead the design, development, and modernization of a next-generation integrated platform supporting Customer Communications. This platform underpins critical business capabilities, including large-scale data ingestion, data composition, extraction, and loading across global markets.

The VP will lead a globally distributed engineering organization and be responsible for transforming legacy platforms into a modern, scalable, cloud-native ecosystem. This role requires a strong combination of technical depth, architectural vision, and proven people leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Technology & Architecture Leadership

Lead the development of an integrated platform that supports our high-volume customer communications business.

Oversee data architecture, including data modeling, ETL pipelines, and integration across internal and external systems.

Define and drive the target architecture for modernizing legacy platforms, ensuring scalability, resilience, security, and performance.

Champion cloud-native design patterns using AWS services, event-driven architectures, and streaming platforms such as Kafka.

Partner with enterprise architecture, security, and infrastructure teams to ensure alignment with Broadridge’s enterprise platform architecture.

Engineering Execution

Own end-to-end software delivery, from strategy and roadmap through implementation, deployment, and ongoing operations.

Establish engineering best practices for CI/CD, code quality, observability, reliability, and operational excellence.

Ensure platforms meet strict requirements for availability, performance, compliance, and data integrity.

Drive continuous improvement through automation, tooling, and modern development practices.

Leadership & Talent Development

Lead, inspire, and scale a high-performing global engineering organization.

Attract, develop, and retain top engineering talent; build strong leadership benches across regions.

Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and inclusion.

Provide coaching and mentorship to senior engineering leaders and architects.

Stakeholder & Business Partnership

Partner closely with product management, business leaders, and operations to align technology delivery with business objectives.

Communicate technical strategy, risks, and progress clearly to executive leadership.

Balance near-term delivery commitments with long-term transformation goals.

Required Qualifications


15+ years of progressive software engineering experience, including senior leadership roles managing large, global teams.

Proven experience building and modernizing large-scale, enterprise platforms, including transformation of legacy systems.

Strong development experience with:

AWS (cloud-native services, scalability, security)

Kafka

Data modeling and large-scale data architectures

ETL / data ingestion and processing pipelines

Experience with high-volume, mission-critical systems such as transaction processing / financial services platforms is strongly preferred.

Deep understanding of distributed systems, APIs, and event-driven architectures.

Demonstrated ability to lead complex, multi-year transformation initiatives.

Built, mentored, and led high performing, distributed, Agile engineering teams.

Applied deep AI tooling experience to drive the adoption of AI-assisted development practices, increasing engineering productivity and accelerating release cycles.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in financial services, capital markets, or regulated environments.

Strong understanding of DevOps, SRE, and modern observability practices.

Experience in Composition platforms (e.g., OpenText Exstream, Smart COMM, Adobe)

Experience working with globally distributed teams across multiple time zones.

Compensation Range: The salary range for this position is between $250,000.00- $275,000.00 USD.

Broadridge considers various factors when evaluating a candidate's final salary including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, and education.
