Information Systems and Cyber Division (ISCD) staff couple the latest in information system technologies, such as elastic compute clouds, containerization, microservices, real-time operating systems, and visualization frameworks, with expertise in cyber security, software architecture, software engineering, data science, Artificial Intelligence, process improvement, and software development to deliver responsive, resilient, high-performance software intensive systems to our Intelligence Community, DoD, and civilian customers.
The Software Implementation and Integration Department (SIID) specializes in transforming these advanced technologies into operational reality for our customers. Our team focuses on the practical integration of AI, cloud-native services, and data platforms, ensuring seamless interoperability across complex enterprise environments. We employ modern integration patterns, and automated deployment pipelines to bridge the gap between innovative solutions and mission-critical systems. By concentrating on implementation excellence and system integration, we enable rapid technology adoption while maintaining the security, reliability, and performance standards for our customer's demand.
Work Model
  • This is a full-time position based in Chantilly, VA, which requires 100% onsite work.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Develop software in a modern language to support space, ground, and launch systems in the national security, civil, and commercial domains
  • Leverage your software engineering skills to solve complex problems in various software systems domains
  • Identify exciting opportunities for adopting new technologies, such as AI, to solve existing needs and predict future challenges
  • Drive positive change by introducing new perspectives, challenge established practices, and foster a culture of innovation within the team
  • Collaborate with teams across the corporation to develop cross-domain space solutions
  • Operate strategically through engaging with customers in leveraging the latest technology that provides innovative solutions to their challenging problems in the space arena
  • Learn and grow through new work opportunities, training, and mentorship from experienced staff

What You Need to be Successful
Minimum Requirements for the Member of Technical Staff - Software Engineering
  • Bachelor's degree in STEM, with an emphasis in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field(s)
  • 2 or more years of relevant experience in a position related to web application development, Spring Framework, Java, Python, RESTful services, or Cloud
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and team collaborative development using Atlassian tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket, SourceTree, etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability in coding and scripting with languages with at least two different programming languages (e.g. Java, Python, C/C++.)
  • Experience using collaborative source code management (Git, Subversion), Agile Development, and DevSecOps
  • Proven experience with Windows and Linux Development Environments
  • Hands-on experience with Linux environments
  • Willingness to travel approx. 15% domestically (customer sites, locations, etc)
  • This position requires ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the US government. U.S citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.

In addition to the above, the minimum Requirements for the Senior Member of Technical Staff - Software Engineering include:
  • 4 or more years of relevant experience in a position related to web application development, Spring Framework, Java, Python, RESTful services, or Cloud
  • Leading team discussions and code collaboration to promote continuous progress
  • Participating in client, industry, and end-user discussions to help provide technical viewpoint on the application
  • Participating in technical design sessions to create sustainable, high-performing features and providing accurate estimates and development timelines.
  • Experience in software technologies such as Full Stack, DevOps, AI, or cloud technologies like microservices and containers.
  • Experience leading an Agile development team using Atlassian tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket, SourceTree, etc.)
