Role Overview

The Implementation Consultant is a core professional services role within Nuix's Global GTM organisation, responsible for the end-to-end paid delivery of Nuix platform engagements across new and existing customers. Working from a formal handoff from Customer Success, this individual manages the full implementation lifecycle β€” from requirements gathering and environment configuration through to deployment, testing, and knowledge transfer β€” across local, air-gapped, SaaS, on-premises and cloud environments. Engagements typically run up to six months and span the full breadth of Nuix's enterprise data intelligence, investigative analytics and eDiscovery capabilities.

This role is the primary technical point of accountability on each engagement. The Implementation Consultant is expected to translate complex customer requirements into a working, adopted deployment of the Nuix platform, delivering outcomes that are on time, on budget and commercially sound. They operate with a high degree of autonomy and are measured on billable utilisation, delivery performance, and project margin.

Location

This position will be based in our Reston office. The candidate is required to attend the office a minimum of 3days per week but may voluntarily elect to work either remotely or from the Reston office for the remaining days of the week.

Responsibilities
  • Own the end-to-end implementation of the Nuix platform across assigned customer engagements. This includes leading requirements workshops, producing a delivery plan, executing configuration and testing, and managing the project to a successful, signed-off go-live.
  • Configure and deploy the Nuix platform across all supported infrastructure environments. Engagements span local, air-gapped, SaaS, on-premises and cloud environments, requiring strong adaptability and disciplined environment-specific execution.
  • Manage engagement scope, schedule and budget throughout the project lifecycle. Proactively identify risks and variances early, communicate them to the Regional VP, and take corrective action to protect on-time and on-budget outcomes.
  • Serve as the primary technical contact for the customer throughout the implementation. Build and maintain trusted relationships with customer stakeholders at technical and operational levels, translating complex platform capability into clear, practical guidance.
  • Execute a structured handoff from Customer Success and ensure a clean transition to support and ongoing success at close of engagement. Document deployment decisions, configuration rationale and known considerations to enable the customer and internal teams to operate the platform confidently post go-live.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of Nuix's professional services delivery practice. Share implementation learnings, contribute to methodology and playbook development, and provide feedback on recurring technical or scoping issues to inform pre-sales and product teams.
Must haves
  • Three to five years of hands-on experience delivering enterprise software implementations in a billable professional services context. Candidates should be able to demonstrate a track record of completed engagements delivered on time, on budget and to scope across complex customer environments.
  • Demonstrated technical proficiency across multiple deployment architectures including cloud, on-premises and secure or air-gapped environments. Experience configuring and troubleshooting enterprise software in restricted or sensitive infrastructure environments is essential given the nature of Nuix's customer base.
  • Strong project management discipline, with the ability to manage scope, risk and stakeholder expectations simultaneously across engagements running up to six months. A relevant certification such as PMP or PRINCE2, or equivalent demonstrated practice, is expected at this level.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical implementation details clearly and credibly to both technical teams and non-technical business stakeholders. This includes producing clear written documentation β€” project plans, configuration guides, handover artefacts β€” and presenting confidently to customer decision makers.
Nice to haves
  • Prior experience with eDiscovery, digital forensics, investigative analytics or information governance software. Familiarity with data processing workflows, electronically stored information (ESI), or legal and regulatory data obligations in these domains would accelerate contribution significantly.
  • Experience working across multiple geographic regions or with global enterprise customers. Given the AMER, APAC and EMEA scope of this role, prior exposure to regionally varied infrastructure standards, data sovereignty requirements or customer procurement practices is advantageous.
