Job Description:

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the full software development lifecycle (design, development, testing, and maintenance) for solutions built on a modern cloud platform, emphasizing quality, scalability, and security.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to project stakeholders, business analysts, and QA teams to ensure alignment with high-level business requirements.
  • Design, develop, and maintain high-quality applications using a modern tech stack including Angular, .NET (C#, .NET Core), HTML5, JavaScript, and other relevant languages/frameworks like Java/Gosu and React.
  • Oversee end-to-end implementation and customization of core P&C insurance systems (Policy, Claims, and Billing), including configuration, business rule development, and workflow design.
  • Manage system integrations with internal/external systems using various methods (REST APIs, SOAP, message queues, and batch jobs).
  • Contribute to and define software development standards, design patterns, best practices, and technical documentation; perform code reviews and performance tuning.
  • Build, maintain, and administer SQL Databases and related software while managing version control systems like Git and SVN.
  • Act as a key technical resource and mentor for developers, providing training and guidance on design, coding, problem-solving, and ensuring adherence to departmental standards.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Education and Core Experience: Bachelor's degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education, training, and senior-level work experience utilizing .NET (C#, .NET Core) and/or Java, along with strong proficiency in SQL Server.
  • Technical Proficiency: Extensive experience with Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), design patterns, clean code principles, and best practices.
  • Preferred Domain Expertise: Prior experience with the Guidewire platform (using Gosu) and possession of a Guidewire Cloud Developer Certification are highly desirable.
  • Problem Solving & Communication: Strong organizational, written, and oral communication skills, coupled with excellent problem-solving abilities.
