We're looking for a Software Developer in Test with a background in server-side and API testing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks to validate APIs, backend services, and server components. This role requires strong programming skills, deep understanding of API protocols, and experience with CI/CD integration. You'll be instrumental in designing and executing test strategies for exciting new features, and your contributions will directly impact millions of users. This role will focus on developing, driving, and delivering scalable test automation solutions. A successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop critically important test solutions that directly impact the quality of our consumer facing applications. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, designing, writing, maintaining and performing end-end test cases through manual and automation. You will drive all aspects of quality and process improvements to help the team ensure that our features are rock-solid and ready to be released to our customers. Reporting bugs with outstanding isolation and regression techniques will be the key to your success. This role also requires balancing a wide variety of deliverables that will rely on your talent for managing priorities and communicating progress and risks effectively and systematically. You will not only dive deep into solving complex problems, but you will also work closely with partners in various disciplines across the company, including SW, HW, Design, Privacy and more.
Minimum Qualifications
6+ years of experience in Automation.
Programming experience in Java, Python, or JavaScript
Experience with test automation frameworks for API testing and backend services , including designing, implementing, and maintaining automated test suites
Validate request/response payloads, headers, authentication, and error handling
Analyze server logs and debug backend issues with query parameters
Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing
Work closely with developers and product teams to understand requirements
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
Create and maintain test documentation, test cases
Experience building dashboard to generate and post test reports
Experience working with Apple devices (iPhone, iPad, Mac, Watch etc.)
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills for collaborating across many participating teams
BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications
Build and enhance API automation frameworks from scratch
Experience with contract testing for server-side systems
Familiarity with Docker and microservices architecture
Security testing knowledge (API security best practices)
Passionate about learning new skills and technologies quickly and independently
Proficient in resolving complex failures using advanced debugging techniques
Familiarity with different server environments and test data pipelines
Strong communication skills with the ability to influence technical direction and design decisions from a quality perspective
