General Responsibilities
Under the general direction of the Assistant Director of the GCRISC, the Human Resource/Payroll Software Analyst is responsible for providing software technical support and training to school districts within the Greater Columbia River Information Service Center Cooperative. The Cooperative provides software implementation, training, and support for all aspects of Skyward SMS and Qmlativ Financial Management, Human Resources, and Student applications. This position focuses primarily on Human Resources applications but occasionally lends support to Fiscal and Student applications as well.
Salary:
There are two levels of compensation associated with this position. Salary placement is dependent on years of applicable experience, education, ability to train advanced materials, and demonstrated performance.
  • Level 1 annual salary range: $74,343.10 - $86,539.10
  • Level 2 annual salary range: $87,427.70 - $101,769.76

Assignment:
This position will be full time-year round. The person in this role will be employed by ESD 112 and requires a regional presence in the ESD 105 region, ESD 112 region, or ESD 171 region. The role requires a blend of technical proficiency, critical thinking skills, and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service. The position requires travel to school districts and other education related agencies and has remote work flexibility.

Essential Functions/Other Functions
Essential Functions:
  1. Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the software within the Skyward and Qmlativ suite of Human Resources applications.
  2. Provide technical assistance to school district personnel regarding implementation of software, processes and procedures for handling data related to the human resources systems application.
  3. Troubleshoot application software problems by evaluating the client's description of the problem, asking pertinent questions, duplicating the situation, testing the application, gathering documentation, and acting as a liaison between the client and WSIPC Product Support and Services teams.
  4. Maintain an in-depth knowledge of all data interfaces between school districts, OSPI, and other state and federal agencies to meet requirements.
  5. Research and implement technological advances for the purpose of streamlining and appropriately transmitting district data to outside agencies, ensuring accuracy of data regarding adherence to policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
  6. Ability to analyze, test and document new software releases.
  7. Develop training materials and conduct training workshops regarding the use of Skyward SMS and Qmlativ Human Resources and Cross Product application in individual, small and large group training formats in person and via Zoom.
  8. Work in coordination with WSIPC staff in support of all Skyward and Qmlativ Software training, meeting, conference, and software development.
  9. Support and cooperate with other analysts to assure consistency in training member district personnel.
  10. Assists computer operations staff with client output and delivery needs when necessary.
  11. Demonstrate an understanding of accounting and the ability to support school business operations.

Minimum/Preferred Qualifications & Skills
Minimum Qualifications:
  1. Experience in developing and conducting group presentations to both small and large audiences.
  2. Education and experience with a strong emphasis in Accounting, Data Management, Relational Databases, or a combination thereof.
  3. Extensive PC experience including Microsoft Office Suite Products.
  4. Minimum High School Diploma.
  5. Two years' experience in customer service and building partnerships.
  6. Ability to work flexible days and additional hours to meet deadlines.
  7. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel (required).

Preferred Qualifications:
  1. BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Information Systems or related field or applicable certification.
  2. Three (3) years of recent experience in an educational service agency or school district working with financial and or human resources data (preferred Skyward Software).
  3. Demonstrated recent experience in developing procedural documentation.
  4. Proven recent experience assisting school district personnel in a variety of accounting matters.

Working Conditions/Employment Requirements
Working Conditions:
  1. Travel to districts served by the Cooperative. Some overnight travel may be required.
  2. Extended or flexible hours as necessary.
  3. Sitting for extended periods of time may be required. Lift and carry a maximum of 40 pounds. Adequate manual and finger dexterity, hearing, speech, and vision are necessary to perform the essential functions of this position.
  4. May require prolonged viewing of a computer monitor.
