What is a SHRM Certification Remote job?

A SHRM Certification Remote job typically refers to a remote position in human resources where SHRM certification is required or preferred. SHRM certifications, such as SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP, demonstrate expertise in HR competencies and best practices. These roles can include HR management, talent acquisition, employee relations, or compliance. Working remotely, professionals use digital tools to manage HR tasks, ensuring alignment with company policies and industry standards.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the Shrm Certification Remote position, and why are they important?

Excelling as a remote SHRM Certification professional requires a deep understanding of human resources principles, employment law, and organizational policy, typically demonstrated by holding a current SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification. Familiarity with HRIS platforms, employee management tools, and online collaboration software is essential for remote work. Strong communication, self-motivation, and problem-solving abilities are key soft skills that help individuals succeed independently. These competencies are important for delivering consistent HR expertise, maintaining compliance, and fostering positive workplace culture from a remote setting.

What are some common challenges faced by remote SHRM-certified professionals, and how can they be addressed?

Remote SHRM-certified professionals often encounter challenges such as building rapport with team members virtually, ensuring clear communication across time zones, and staying updated on dynamic HR regulations without in-person collaboration. Addressing these challenges involves leveraging digital communication tools, setting regular check-ins, and participating in online professional development opportunities. Proactively engaging with dispersed teams and staying organized are crucial for maintaining productivity and fostering trust. Overcoming these hurdles not only enhances job performance but also strengthens your ability to support distributed workforces effectively.

Job description

We are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for HR and recruiting professionals experienced in reviewing talent acquisition documents, candidate pipeline materials, hiring process summaries, interview guides, scorecards, onboarding materials, spreadsheets, slide decks, and presentation-ready people-related artifacts for accuracy, rigor, clarity, and domain quality.

This role supports current and upcoming remote consulting opportunities focused on HR and recruiting artifact review, talent acquisition evaluation, rubric-based assessment, document and spreadsheet review, slide deck quality review, structured feedback, and high-quality project execution. Selected professionals will evaluate AI-generated work products and apply subject-matter expertise to identify factual, analytical, aesthetic, and presentation issues.

Key Responsibilities

Professionals in this role may contribute to:

  • Evaluate AI-generated documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks involving recruiting, talent acquisition, hiring workflows, role requirements, interview planning, onboarding, and people programs
  • Review HR and recruiting materials for accuracy, completeness, rigor, clarity, and practical relevance
  • Assess whether recommendations are realistic, measurable, and aligned with the stated hiring or workplace context
  • Identify inaccurate assumptions, unclear hiring logic, incomplete candidate evaluation criteria, weak recommendations, or poor linkage between data and conclusions

Recruiting Process & Talent Evaluation

  • Review materials involving candidate pipelines, recruiting metrics, interview scorecards, hiring manager updates, outreach materials, job descriptions, and structured interview plans
  • Assess whether recruiting materials are fair, clear, professionally written, and useful for decision-making
  • Evaluate spreadsheets, dashboards, interview guides, hiring process summaries, and executive-facing recommendations for rigor and usability
  • Provide clear written feedback that improves HR and recruiting artifact quality

Spreadsheet, Document & Presentation Quality Review

  • Review spreadsheets for structure, logic, calculations, formatting, usability, and consistency
  • Assess slide decks for organization, visual clarity, executive readability, and presentation quality
  • Identify factual, aesthetic, formatting, and presentation errors across Microsoft Office and Google Workspace files
  • Apply consistent review standards across documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks

Ideal Profile

Strong candidates may have:

  • 5+ years of relevant professional experience in HR, recruiting, talent acquisition, people programs, hiring process design, interview design, onboarding, workforce planning, or related work
  • Native or professional fluency in English
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
  • Strong experience with Google Slides, PowerPoint, Excel, Google Sheets, Word, and Google Docs
  • Ability to evaluate documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent written communication skills and ability to provide structured feedback
  • Ability to work independently in a remote, project-based environment

Educational Background

  • Academic backgrounds in human resources, business, organizational psychology, industrial-organizational psychology, management, communications, education, or related fields may be relevant
  • Advanced degree from a reputable institution may be valuable
  • Professional training in recruiting, HR, structured interviewing, talent acquisition, people analytics, or workplace program design may also be relevant depending on project scope

Nice to Have

  • Master's degree or higher in a relevant field
  • Certifications or training such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR, AIRS, LinkedIn Recruiter training, or comparable HR/recruiting credentials
  • Experience with ATS or HRIS tools such as Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workday, BambooHR, or similar platforms
  • Experience creating or reviewing job descriptions, interview guides, scorecards, hiring dashboards, onboarding materials, recruiting reports, or people-related presentations
  • Strong ability to evaluate both HR/recruiting substance and visual/presentation quality

Why This Opportunity

  • Apply HR and recruiting expertise to structured remote evaluation work
  • Review high-quality documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks across recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and people program topics
  • Contribute to accurate, rigorous, and professionally presented HR materials
  • Use your recruiting judgment and communication skills to improve artifact quality
  • Remote structure with competitive hourly compensation

Contract Details

  • Independent contractor role
  • Fully remote with flexible scheduling
  • Eligible professionals may be based in approved project locations depending on project needs
  • Project commitment may vary depending on availability and scope
  • Competitive rates between $70–$110 per hour depending on expertise and project scope
  • Weekly payments via Stripe or Wise
