Payroll & Benefits Analyst

On-Site - Remote 1 Day/Week After Training is Available


Allegheny County, PA - Pittsburgh, PA (North/West)


The Payroll & Benefits Analyst is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll, administration of employee benefits programs, and compliance with all applicable payroll, tax, and benefits regulations. This role serves as a key resource for employees, management, vendors, and auditors while ensuring confidentiality and delivering data-driven insights to leadership.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Process payroll, direct deposits, adjustments, and payroll audits.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll and tax regulations.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health, retirement, leave, and workersโ€™ compensation.
  • Lead annual open enrollment, employee benefit education, and new hire benefits orientation.
  • Manage leave administration, including FMLA, military leave, STD, and LTD claims in partnership with third-party vendors.
  • Coordinate quarterly 401(k) committee meetings and lead the annual 401(k) audit.
  • Reconcile benefit vendor invoices and ensure timely payment processing.
  • Prepare reports, conduct audits, analyze trends, and recommend process improvements.
  • Maintain compliance with ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, ACA, FMLA, and other applicable regulations.
  • Serve as a liaison between employees, management, vendors, and regulatory agencies.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Business, or related field.
  • 3+ years of payroll, benefits administration, or HR experience.
  • SHRM certification preferred.
  • Strong HRIS and Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain Act 33, Act 34, and FBI Clearances.
