CA/Nationwide HR Services, Inc. is a nationwide and international Human Resources consulting and outsourcing firm, delivering comprehensive HR services to small and medium-sized businesses across a variety of industries and states.

This is a remote/work-from-home/hybrid position, offering flexibility to work from home with occasional onsite client office visits, providing meaningful HR impact for client organizations and their employees.

Compensation

This position offers a base hourly rate of $45–$55, ($93,600–$114,400 annually @$55/hr.) based on Full-Time hours worked and commensurate with experience and expertise, and is overtime eligible.


Overtime eligibility does not guarantee the availability of overtime hours. Overtime opportunities, when available, are based on business needs, client demand, performance expectations, management approval, and other operational factors.

With overtime, total annual compensation may range approximately from $94,000 to $153,600, depending on hours worked and client assignments. All compensation figures are estimates only and are not intended as guaranteed earnings.

How You’ll Make a Difference

In this role, you’ll serve as a trusted HR partner to client organizations, functioning as their dedicated HR professional or leading and supporting specialized HR initiatives as business needs arise.

In this role, you’ll go beyond HR administration to serve as a trusted strategic partner. You’ll build strong client relationships, guide compliance efforts, develop leadership teams, and help foster positive, high-performing workplace cultures where people and organizations thrive.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

  • May serve as the hands-on, onsite Manager/Director responsible for day-to-day HR tasks and responsibilities. Advise and guide clients on HR best practices while performing core HR projects
  • Manage all required HR tasks and duties A–Z across the employee lifecycle, from recruiting and onboarding through employee relations and terminations
  • Conduct HR audits to identify compliance risks and recommend improvements
  • Draft, implement, and continually update HR policies, procedures, and processes
  • Support recruiting, hiring, onboarding, benefits administration, and compliance
  • Assist with LOA management, Workers' compensation injury management and wage and hour oversight
  • Coach leaders and managers to build stronger teams and foster positive workplace cultures
  • Handle employee relations matters, including investigations, conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and terminations
  • Support training and development initiatives to empower leaders and employees with HR knowledge and best practices (may include conducting required training such as Sexual Harassment prevention, IIPP and WVPP)
  • Based on skills and background in payroll, may be asked to manage and process payroll, payroll setup and administration, payroll migration, and perform ancillary payroll responsibilities including reporting and reconciliations
  • Any other HR-related tasks and services associated with the operations and support of a small business

Requirements

  • 8–10 years of progressive HR Management or Director-level experience
  • HR Certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) highly desirable but not required
  • Spanish proficiency preferred but not required
  • Expert knowledge of Federal and California labor laws
    (Multi-state experience preferred for those with clients in other states)
  • Strong payroll processing experience preferred but not required
  • Passion for working with and assisting small businesses with their HR needs, and the ability to manage both administrative tasks and serve as a strategic partner
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills required (verbal, written, and presentation)
  • Exceptional customer service and client-facing skills
  • Proactive, confident, and independent decision-making abilities
  • Highly organized, adaptable, persuasive, and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Compassionate, humble, and kind
  • Tech-savvy, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and cloud-based tools such as Dropbox
  • Fully functional remote and private office space and setup (mobile phone with strong connectivity, high-speed internet, video conferencing, printer/scanner, etc.)
  • Ability to travel to client sites as needed
