Shipping Assistant

Manufacturer of manufacturer has an opening for a Shipping Assistant for its Cable Tray Product in Mauldin, SC.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Manage time effectively, meet personal and departmental goals, and work effectively with other members of the team
  • Possess strong communication skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic team atmosphere
  • Manufacturing or distribution experience preferred
  • Must have strong computer/data entry skills
  • Bachelor's Degree or 3-4 years of shipping experience

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare shipping documents including but not limited to:
    • Bill of Ladings
    • Packing slips
    • Customs paperwork
  • Process invoices
  • Verify accuracy of shipments
  • Maintain close correspondence with sales staff
  • Organize and maintain electronic shipping records
  • Coordinate less-than-truckload (LTL) pickups
  • Oversee and ensure compliance with 6S Safety Program
  • Works closely with shipping employees on manufacturing floor to ensure efficiency and quality; assist shipping employees as needed
  • Develop a thorough knowledge of MP Husky products, services, and capabilities
