We are seeking a detail-oriented
Shipping Coordinator to support our Shipping and Logistics team. This role is responsible for coordinating daily shipments, preparing shipping documentation, communicating with customers and freight carriers, and ensuring the accurate movement of products through our Epicor ERP system. Keep Our Customers Moving
As a Shipping Coordinator, you'll play a critical role in ensuring customer orders are shipped accurately and on time. Working closely with Production, Quality, Customer Service, and Accounting, you'll coordinate shipments, maintain accurate records, and help deliver the exceptional service our customers expect.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily domestic and international shipments using parcel carriers, LTL, FTL, and expedited freight providers
- Prepare and process shipping documentation including packing slips, bills of lading, commercial invoices, export documentation, and shipping labels
- Verify customer orders, part numbers, quantities, shipping methods, and special instructions before shipment
- Process shipping transactions and maintain accurate shipment records within the Epicor ERP system
- Schedule carrier pickups and coordinate deliveries to meet customer requirements
- Monitor shipment status and proactively communicate delays or transportation issues to customers and internal departments
- Provide shipment tracking information and proof of delivery documentation as requested
- Support customer invoicing by ensuring shipments are properly documented and released for billing
- Generate shipping reports and assist leadership with logistics metrics and operational reporting
- Maintain organized electronic and physical shipping records for audit and compliance purposes
- Partner with Production, Quality, Purchasing, Customer Service, and Accounting to resolve shipping discrepancies and support on-time customer deliveries
- Assist with domestic and international shipping compliance requirements
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts to enhance shipping accuracy and efficiency
- Perform other shipping and logistics duties as assigned
Experience & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred
- Two or more years of experience in shipping, logistics, manufacturing administration, or customer service
- Experience working within an ERP system, preferably Epicor or a similar manufacturing platform
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Experience coordinating freight, parcel, and transportation services preferred
- Knowledge of domestic and international shipping documentation is a plus
