Automotive Service Advisor  (Customer Service) Job Responsibilities

As an Automotive Service Advisor, you will greet customers, schedule service appointments, and receive vehicle information. You will be responsible for listening to requests of the service desired and clearly explaining information on the repair order.

Automotive Service Advisor responsibilities:

  • Accurate write up of customer information and repairs requested
  • Price out parts
  • Communicate with technicians
  • Communicate any additional work or time required to the customer
  • Accurately enter information into the shop management program
  • Make appointments for customers
  • Provide a high level of customer service
  • Getting customer approval to do additional work and explaining the work performed and the charges being billed
