Job description

Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Test Engineer to join our clients team. This role offers a unique opportunity to apply your engineering expertise to the design and development of test stands, equipment, and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, modify, and develop test processes and equipment for specialized projects, applying engineering principles.
  • Lead the design, programming, and documentation of control and acquisition projects using National Instruments software and hardware, including PXI, RIO, and FPGA architectures.
  • Create modular, reliable, and reusable LabVIEW code to support ongoing improvements.
  • Commission and troubleshoot software platforms to ensure functionality and reliability.
  • Conduct analytical studies to evaluate engineering test data and product proposals.
  • Develop comprehensive test procedures and prepare detailed test reports.
  • Collaborate with technicians to set up equipment, test articles, and test facilities.
  • Install, configure, and calibrate instrumentation for data recording during tests.
  • Ensure tests are conducted according to established plans and regulations, documenting any discrepancies.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • BS degree in engineering with a minimum of 5 years of test engineering experience.
  • At least 3 years of advanced LabVIEW programming experience in a scientific, industrial, or research environment.
  • Proven track record of successfully completing projects from concept to completion.
  • Experience with development and certification testing of mechanical or electrical hardware.
  • Proficiency in operating mechanical and electrical test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and tensile testing machines.
  • Experience with SOLIDWORKS is desirable.
  • Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills are essential.
