Job description

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Automation Engineer - Remote position with a Financial Services Organization located in Minneapolis, MN. This is a 6+ month contract to hire opportunity.
Compensation: $88.21 - $89.10 per hour, W2, based on qualifications
Position Overview:

This is a senior-level automation engineering role focused on building "paved roads" or "golden paths" for software delivery using an internal developer platform (Backstage). The engineer will be responsible for stitching services together, automating repeatable development workflows, and creating templates to streamline the creation of new applications and APIs.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Build "paved roads" or "golden paths" for software delivery
  • Stitch services together and automate repeatable development workflows
  • Create templates for building new web applications and APIs
  • Embed security into templates and drive usage across the organization
  • Work collaboratively across teams to improve developer workflows
Primary Requirements:
  • Strong experience in DevOps, automation, internal developer platform, or platform engineering
  • Experience with Backstage or similar Internal Developer Platform (IDP) concepts
  • Understanding of software supply chain concepts, secure engineering practices, and developer workflows
  • Highly collaborative with strong communication skills and a product mindset
  • Ability to gather feedback from internal developers and improve adoption
