We are hiring a Technical Writer to join the team at our Millersburg, Oregon facility. The Technical Writer uses internal resources and existing documentation to create accurate, user-friendly procedures and training guides that can be understood by a variety of audiences. This role supports a team who works Monday through Friday but may have some off-shift responsibilities.
You will learn ATI processes and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including a represented workforce, safety, engineering, quality, environmental, continuous improvement, and maintenance.
Attention to detail, a continuous improvement mindset, and exceptional interpersonal skills are included in the skillset of a successful Technical Writer.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Observe, take notes and photos, and work with Subject Matter Experts to gather information.
  • Analyze information to produce high-quality documentation.
  • Ensure current document standards are followed.
  • Collaborate with other writers to improve document standards.
  • Gather customer feedback to improve content, useability, and meet expectations.
  • Edit documentation to ensure consistent, accurate information.
  • Adjust responsibilities, time, and priorities with supervisor input to meet business and team objectives.
  • Promote a safe culture for yourself and those around you.
  • Problem solve documentation issues using existing practices and procedures.
  • Audit document distribution and note discrepancies.

Basic Qualifications
  • Associate's degree and 1 year of writing experience or a high school diploma with 3 years of writing experience.
