Commercial Kitchen Service Technician (Mid & Senior Level)

PGM Service Group – Tampa, Sarasota & Orlando, FL

PGM Service is a fast-growing commercial kitchen equipment service company supporting restaurants, hospitals, and large foodservice operations across Florida. We specialize in keeping kitchens operational with a focus on quality, speed, and professionalism.

We are actively hiring Mid-Level and Senior Service Technicians across the following markets:

  • Tampa
  • Orlando

Compensation & Earning Potential

We offer a strong hourly base, consistent overtime, and performance-based commission.

Mid-Level Technician

$45–$52+ per hour effective earnings (including overtime + commission)

Senior Technician

$52–$60+ per hour effective earnings (including overtime + commission)

  • Hourly pay + overtime (1.5x)
  • Commission tied to production
  • Consistent overtime available (5–10+ hours per week typical)
  • Company vehicle (after onboarding period)

What You’ll Do

  • Diagnose and repair commercial kitchen equipment:
  • Cooking equipment (ovens, fryers, grills, steamers)
  • Refrigeration equipment (reach-ins, prep tables, ice machines)
  • Perform preventive maintenance (PMs)
  • Communicate clearly with customers on issues and solutions
  • Complete digital work orders with notes and photos
  • Identify additional repair opportunities
  • Maintain truck inventory and tools

What We’re Looking For

Mid-Level Technician

  • 3–5+ years of experience in food equipment, HVAC, refrigeration, or a similar field
  • Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
  • Able to run most service calls independently

Senior Technician

  • 5–8+ years of experience
  • Advanced diagnostics across hot-side and/or refrigeration systems
  • Ability to handle complex calls without supervision
  • Comfortable mentoring junior technicians

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license with clean record
  • Ability to pass background check (required for certain customer sites)
  • Strong work ethic and professionalism

Preferred (Not Required)

  • EPA Certification
  • CFESA Certification
  • Manufacturer certifications
  • Gas or electrical certifications
