  • Support first line teams in documenting, solutioning, and prioritising control gaps and drive a culture of proactive issue identification and remediation.
  • Ongoing oversight of issue remediation activities using our risk management tool (Optro) to ensure appropriate risk focused prioritisation, and help validate closure of remediated issues.
  • Support the development and implementation of key risk indicators, and risk appetite statements.
  • Support and drive the creation of dashboards using data analytics tools to report on key risk indicators and identify actionable insights.
  • Coordinate the quarterly residual risk assessment process across the risk taxonomy, including loss and incident reporting, to inform our regional risk profile for reporting to local and global risk committees, and to our local board.
  • Partnering with 'first line' teams across the business to support the design and launch of new products and features by ensuring that key operational risks are identified and mitigated prior to launch.
  • Promoting and helping embed a proactive risk culture, making risk meaningful and relevant to everyone at Wise.

Qualifications
  • You have worked in the financial services, ideally a broker dealer or investment management / advisory firm, or in a fintech.
  • Proven experience in broker-dealer (FINRA/SEC) end to end investment services and operations is a definite plus.
  • Payment products, ACH payment rails and payment operations are a bonus.
  • You are comfortable with data analysis and data-driven problem solving and solutionising. SQL, Looker and Superset experience is a definite plus.
  • You have experience in enterprise and / or operational risk management, inherent and residual risk assessment, and risk reporting.
  • You have experience process level risk identification and control mapping,
  • You have experience in supporting risk assessments and/or operational risk event capture and analysis and finding new and innovative ways to do things.
  • You are experienced in driving the identification, logging, root-cause analysis, remediation planning, action tracking, validation/closure, and reporting of issues.
  • You have experience in designing and implementing KRIs and control monitoring dashboards.
  • You are comfortable with AI, data analysis and data-driven problem solving and solutionising. SQL, Lightdash and Superset experience is a definite plus.
  • You have excellent verbal and written communications skills, and are proficient at drafting concise executive style narratives for risk committees and board reporting.
