What is a senior proofreader?

Senior Proofreaders are experienced professionals responsible for reviewing written content to detect and correct errors in grammar, spelling, punctuation, and formatting. They often oversee the work of other proofreaders, ensuring that all documents meet high standards of quality and consistency. In addition to error correction, Senior Proofreaders may also advise on style, clarity, and adherence to brand guidelines. Their expertise is crucial in industries such as publishing, advertising, and corporate communications. Typically, they have several years of proofreading experience and a strong command of language rules.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a senior proofreader?

To thrive as a Senior Proofreader, you need exceptional attention to detail, advanced grammar and language skills, and several years of professional proofreading experience, often supported by a degree in English, journalism, or a related field. Familiarity with style guides (such as AP, Chicago, or MLA), track-changes tools in Microsoft Word, and content management systems is typically required. Strong organizational skills, time management, and the ability to provide constructive feedback help distinguish top performers in this role. These skills ensure high-quality, error-free content that enhances brand credibility and meets publication standards.

What are some common challenges senior proofreaders face when working with fast-paced publishing teams?

Senior Proofreaders often juggle tight deadlines and high volumes of content, especially when working within fast-paced publishing or marketing teams. Balancing accuracy with speed can be challenging, as they must ensure all documents are error-free while meeting strict turnaround times. Additionally, they frequently collaborate with writers, editors, and designers, requiring strong communication skills to clarify queries and maintain quality standards. Adapting to different style guides and managing last-minute changes are also typical aspects of the role.

Role Summary
The Product Strategy Senior Advisor - Identity Strategy & Innovation provides strategic counsel and
product leadership for the enterprise Identity platform, helping shape its strategy, roadmap, and
innovation agenda across identity modernization, secure access, authentication, fraud prevention,
identity proofing, delegation, and emerging AI-aware identity capabilities.
Acting as a product-minded translator between business and technical teams, the advisor develops
product definitions, roadmap recommendations, and executive-ready narratives that accelerate
adoption and business value. The role works in close partnership with the enterprise Personalization
technology stack and Customer 360 data foundations, ensuring identity operates as a shared,
reusable layer that powers trusted, personalized digital experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Identity Product Strategy & Portfolio Counsel
• Advise senior leadership on identity platform strategy and modernization priorities.
• Develop and recommend the identity roadmap and capability prioritization across
authentication, access, registration, identity proofing, trusted devices, fraud posture, and
delegation.
• Shape funding proposals, prioritization recommendations, and executive reporting that
inform enterprise investment decisions.
• Evaluate platform gaps, technology trends, and emerging threats to help evolve the identity
investment portfolio.
Platform Modernization, Trusted Access & Ecosystem Partnership
• Advance and advise on adoption of modern authentication and trusted access-passkeys,
adaptive MFA, alternate MFA, and streamlined account recovery.
• Shape fraud prevention and identity proofing strategy, reducing reliance on passwords and
SMS OTP while improving login success and reducing support demand.
• Partner with the Personalization technology stack, Customer 360/profile, analytics, and
enablement teams so identity signals are reusable and support personalized, governed
experiences.
• Collaborate with architecture, engineering, security, and digital product teams to keep
solutions scalable, resilient, and aligned to enterprise standards; support ongoing federation
and SSO modernization and scalable access governance.AI-Aware Identity, Delegation & Innovation
• Develop identity strategy recommendations for AI-agent access, agent identity, human-to-
agent delegation, credentialing, and human approval workflows.
• Define requirements for digital delegation and caregiver use cases (proxy, authorized
representatives, minor age-out, family access) as reusable services.
• Lead pilots, value-proposition development, and measurement of success for identity
capabilities supporting future-state care, pharmacy, and agentic engagement-surfacing
governance, consent, and policy decisions that require leadership alignment.
Cross-Functional Leadership & Influence
• Lead highly visible, cross-functional identity initiatives spanning business, technology,
security, architecture, and digital product teams.
• Influence stakeholders at all levels to drive alignment, prioritization, and adoption.
• Serve as a trusted advisor and identity subject matter expert to business stakeholders,
platform consumers, architecture partners, and senior leadership.
• Translate complex business, security, and technical needs into clear product strategies,
roadmap recommendations, and executive narratives.
Scope & Impact
• Provides enterprise-level strategic counsel across identity, secure access, authentication,
fraud prevention, proofing, delegation, and AI-agent trust.
• Informs enterprise investment and governance decisions and adoption approaches through
recommendations, partnering across the personalization and customer-data ecosystem.
• Contributes to measurable outcomes: improved login success, reduced support demand,
lower authentication operating cost, reduced fraud risk, faster onboarding, and broader
adoption of reusable identity services.
• Recognized internally as a go-to expert for the most complex identity, digital trust, and
identity-enabled AI initiatives.
Required Experience
• 7+ years in Product Strategy/Management, Identity & Access Management, digital platforms,
security technology, or related fields.
• Track record developing enterprise product strategies, roadmaps, investment narratives, and
executive recommendations.
• Hands-on familiarity with identity capabilities (registration, login, MFA, passkeys, account
recovery, proofing, fraud controls, federation, SSO, delegated access).
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence senior stakeholders in a highly
matrixed organization without direct authority, translating business, security, and technical
needs into measurable outcomes.Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in healthcare, pharmacy, benefits, or regulated ecosystems where identity,
consent, privacy, and access governance are critical.
• Familiarity with modern federation, OAuth/OIDC, SAML, token security, identity orchestration,
adaptive authentication, or passwordless/passkey capabilities.
• Exposure to AI-agent governance, delegated authority, and lifecycle/traceability concepts,
and to caregiver/proxy/authorized-representative access models.
• Experience partnering with personalization, customer-data, or content platforms to deliver
reusable, shared-service capabilities.
If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 113,200 - 188,600 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
