Synopsis

The Cargo Sales Officer at Etihad Cargo will be responsible for driving sales growth within the cargo division with a strong focus on the pharmaceutical sector. This role involves leveraging your expertise in pharmaceuticals to develop and manage key accounts and identify new business opportunities. Designs and implements a robust commercial strategy. Delivers the targets in a systematic and dynamic way making sure that objectives are placed, driven and rewarded to create a high-performance culture within the EY, Cargo Service Partner/General Sales Agent (CSP/GSA) and Ground Handling Agent (GHA) Teams. You will drive continuous performance management and coaching to improve performance. You will comply with all relevant safety, security, quality, health, and environmental procedures to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.

Accountabilities

  • Develop and execute sales strategies.
  • Drive monthly performance against agreed revenue and operating targets, while also taking into consideration contribution metrics.
  • Responsible for setting targets, challenging customer, product mix and destination mix to achieve optimum quality revenue.
  • Measure progress and monitor results in the country (Spain).
  • Identify and target potential clients (such as Pharma, Perishables, Aerospace) and markets to grow the cargo division's revenue. 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders. 
  • Manage and nurture relationships with existing clients to ensure high levels of satisfaction and retention. 
  • Conduct regular reviews with clients to address needs, resolve issues, and identify opportunities for additional business. 
  • Lead seasonal contract negotiations and allotments, as well as project cargo requests to optimize overall contribution.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats. 
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on market analysis to adjust sales strategies as needed. 
  • Work closely with the cargo operations and other internal stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery (i.e. pharmaceutical shipments). 
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and campaigns (i.e. targeted at pharmaceutical clients). 
  • Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts, detailing performance, client feedback, and market trends. 
  • Present findings and strategic recommendations to senior management.
Qualifications
  • 5-10 years of relevant work experience
  • Minimum 5 years of commercial experience within Cargo.
  • Fluent in English (both written and spoken).
  • Strong cargo commercial experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce
  • Basic Knowledge and experience with GHA/warehouse handling.
