Job Summary
  • We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Branch General Manager to take full ownership of our Los Angeles / Compton branch. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth, overseeing operations, leading the team, and managing full P&L performance.
  • This is a hands-on leadership role requiring both strategic direction and execution. The ideal candidate operates with an owner mindset, capable of scaling the business while ensuring operational excellence across import/export freight forwarding and complex cargo solutions.
  • This role works closely with Headquarters (New Jersey) to ensure alignment on strategy, financial performance, and operational standards.
Job Description
  • Business Development & Growth
  • - Own branch revenue growth, including new business acquisition and account expansion
  • - Develop and execute sales strategies across air/ocean freight, domestic transport, and project cargo
  • - Lead customer engagements end-to-end (prospecting โ†’ solution โ†’ pricing โ†’ closing)
  • - Ensure pricing aligns with operational feasibility and margin targets
  • P&L Ownership & Financial Management
  • - Own full branch P&L, including revenue, margin, and cost control
  • - Manage budgets, forecasts, and monthly performance reviews
  • - Monitor key KPIs (revenue, margin %, cost per shipment, productivity)
  • - Report regularly to HQ (NJ) on performance and key initiatives
  • Freight Forwarding Operations (Import & Export)
  • - Oversee all international freight operations (air & ocean, import/export)
  • - Ensure compliance with customs, documentation, and trade regulations
  • - Manage shipment lifecycle from booking through delivery
  • - Resolve complex operational issues and maintain service quality
  • Warehousing Coordination (Non-Operational)
  • - Maintain strong understanding of warehouse operations and constraints

Qualifications
  • - 10?15 years of freight forwarding / logistics experience
  • - 5+ years in senior leadership or GM-level role
  • - Strong experience in import/export (air & ocean), end-to-end freight operations, and oversized/project cargo
  • - Working understanding of warehousing operations (non-operational role)
  • - Proven P&L ownership and business growth track record
  • - Bilingual in Korean and English (Required)
  • - Experience with systems such as OPUS, CargoWise, SAP, or equivalent
  • - Bachelor's degree required (MBA preferred)
